@rodc2678 nailed it. As soon as they realised they could use it for more paid ad space, TV lost all its charm. Lucky to get a show with a theme tune these days
I felt as engaged watching this as I did watching the show when Glenn Ridge hosted in the '90s.

It’s must see TV Monday to Friday at 7.00pm on Channel Nine.
I thought the light shapes in the background were replaced at the beginning of the year, including the screen on the front of Tony’s podium was replaced by a hexagon screen
