I guess “technically” since both Salazaar and Barbossa’s crews were already “dead”, and the Dutchmen’s were commited to 100 years of service, once their service was up, they’d be f’d and killed off once returning to “human” form. Barbossa’s curse could be undone by all treasure returned and the blood of Turner, AS WELL AS by the Trident. Whereas Salazaar’s curse seemingly only by the trident. So i guess, by default, having “less ways” to be “killed once returning to human form”, Salazaar’s crew takes the title!?!?

You've missed the point. He earned the name "Sparrow" that day, due to the uncanny resemblance to that of a sparrow. Not his looks, but his actions. Flits from one place to the other, seems very cute and friendly, and very harmless. But all of that is deceitful. A sparrow is not harmless, nor cute. They're diabolical little birds, who will attack and kill other birds much larger than itself, for the sake of having it's own home. Everything to this bird becomes a selfish need for survival, at the cost of other birds lives. Seem familiar? He's an awesome captain. But Jack is extremely selfish nonetheless.

Technically, Jack is the one who tricked him into the Devil's triangle. So, it's not the name that haunts him. He's haunted by the fact he is outsmarted by a Cabin Boy, which is considered a disgrace to the Spanish back then. Now, I may not be right about all of this because I barely remember any Spanish history, but I believe that's why Salazar was not afraid of him, but what the others think of Capitan (Yes, that's intentional because they call him that in this movie.) Salazar.

Jones was def definitely better but that "underwater hair" effect with Salazar was pretty badass

Jack has proven the fact of escaping from your enemies always brings to you the victory, sometimes it is better to escape from your battle

This scene was so intense, rewatching its brutal to see the crew of Salazar's get literally shot to pieces, which is normal, splintering wood and explosions will do that but it's the only time we see it in these movies

I love the way salazar’s hair is kind of floaty, i think it represents how he died in the ocean, when your in water your hair also floats about, i think its a great detail.

I love how Jack still keeps the tributes of his original crew till later in life. He does values them.

I love the sass and slow camera on Jack as he twirls that compass.

2:54 the respectful momment of revenge

I love how the music starts to reach its peak when you see the guy taking off what would become Jack's signature hat, hitting the best when it's lowered and given to him.

That has to be the best pirate i ever seen

That's why he keeps all his shit...it's the sign of respect from the men he saved.

I think the funny part about this is that historically Salazar isn’t the bad guy, he was sent by the Spanish navy to take out pirate ships that were preying in Spanish shipping

The evidence included *court rulings* that she was indeed guilty, pictures from hospital visits of Johnny, interviews from staffs and helpers revealing that not only was she abusing Johnny but also cheating with Elon Musk in their own home. It was terrible.

this movie deserves more praise as an honest attempt to revive the franchise after on stramger tides
