Well you have summarised the whole financials equation quite well! ✌️ I lived there in Sweden for a year and my calculations were somewhat similar to what you posted. In the end i felt Sweden is not the country to make a fortune. It's good to live in if the weather suits you well but overall i prefer India over Sweden. Since in the end you are doing about 13-15k sek per month which is almost what IT person would anyways make here in India as well (may b 10-15% less depending on exp). But that's a very low price to pay to be able to live with your loved ones! 😀

Hey! I saw the title Sweden and IT and got interested in the video. I worked in IT with no experience in Sweden as a Web Analyst in an IT company Outpost. And my salary was 21,000kr. It's quite good for somebody who just has a Bachelor's degree with no experience. After taxation I would get 18,000kr. I used to travel to Kristinstad for Work everyday. My home location was Lund.

In Skåne region, Government International schools are free. Education is covered under paid taxes. Private schools are paid.

Not for Everyone Salary is 45k to 50k SEK I have salary of 30k to 35k SEK I have 4 yrs of experience for biology background you need Swedish or else there is highlevel of discrimination in Sweden. In my opinion Sweden is not worth to move and settle for long term. Please don't fall for free education and free hospitals. Hospitals are really bad. Education isn't that great either.

As I am in IT it was easy for me and I come with 8 years of experience to get a job. But what can be the options for my wife. she was a STEM educator/coordinator earlier and now want to switch to IT and persuing a Software Testing course as well. Yes she can work here with dependent visa and it's a good decision if she wants to move to IT. So I can tell you to go through this website where they conduct programs for new people. But you have pass one exam. www.iths.se

Unfortunately no. Between the day you arrive in Sweden and your visa validity, that should have 365 days. But you can try in skatteverket

Full time work and study will be difficult. But if you can do then probably yes you can manage that . But with part time job, it is not possible.

Bhailog, I would not recommend Sweden long term if you are earning good in India, It's damn expensive. Come here for few months, ghum fir ke nikal lo. Come here only, if you want to retire and stay here ,then you will get good pension and govt support which is missing in India..

In my opinion, as most of the HR has to communicate with the local people, they need to have knowledge of Swedish. But global companies like Volvo cars may require HR who speak English (my assumption). But the best way is to apply for jobs in linkedin and try to connect with recruiters

50k SEK per month is a lot of money. Why are you saying salary is less? thats almost 4 lakhs rupees/month. In other poor EU countries, salaries are 2k-3k euros per month only

You need to pay a lot of tax on your salary, also in US, other European countries, companies pay more salary particularly in IT

I think half of your 1 month salary is sufficient to do a trip. So 1 month salary should be sufficient to make 2 trips a year. Also depends how you plan your itinerary
