Salagou 2023 - HARD-CORE carp fishing
Спорт
In late November, myself and top carp angler Jim Lightfoot, embarked on our first ever trip to the legendary Lac du Salagou in the South of France. The 750-hectare venue is known for its tough fishing, mostly due to its environment and hostile weather patterns. This film follows the day-to-day happenings during our ten-day visit, featuring plenty of banter between two like-minded anglers. It also shows the tactics we used to catch some of the stunning residents in this magical venue.

Epic watch and what a legend to spend it with Simon. Really enjoyed seeing the effort you both put in. Just shows another raw side of the sport and the challenges. Not just a vlog catching fish for the camera. Hope to see some more inspiring vlogs sure I will in 2024.

I have seen plenty of Jim on KZread. And he is a bloody good angler in my opinion. He spent a couple of days checking this venue out for example. He puts out simple rigs, in the correct areas, that catch carp.

@@SimonCrow haha yeah you can tell he's angling to get noticed by a bait company or a free lifetime membership at Norton Disney 😂. Seriously though some of us love watching the no nonsense stuff that tells it like it is, not just aiming for clicks. Not many of the younger Euro anglers have the attitude to provide that. 👍🍻
Great session guys...

Simon, get some 105Ah lithium battery's. They are much lighter and have more power than the lead acid battery's

Great video as always 👍🏼👍🏼 you released a video earlier this year when you were talking about Boe and dogs / mental health etc and I had just lost my Staffie and it was very touching. Tried to go back and watch it again but couldn't remember which video / which channel it was on. Don't suppose you remember? Happy Christmas 🎄

@@SimonCrow yep , must have seen Jim on his first spot he was face into it , I was on the side of that bay , 5 nights for one small one , but what a place , I’ll be back in the spring , unfinished business . Brutal conditions, good to pick up some knowledge from you and Jim .
Yo Simon watch you for years now. I was just wondering I know it's silly but how do you go about getting the right licences or permits. To be able to get about doing the public lake fishing around France? If you know anything please let me know thanks
