Exactly we used to celebrate the birthday of our beloved prophet Muhammadﷺ but now I will not celebrate. May Almighty Allah guide us to the straight path!

@Peace Love It has everything to do with right or wrong. If ceebrating the birthday of the prophet (pace be upon him) is not justified in the Quran or Sunnah, then such a event is an innovation in the deen and is haram. "Every newly-invented thing is a bid'ah (innovation), every bid'ah is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire." (Reported by al-Nisaa'i in al-Sunan, Salaat al-'Eedayn, Baab kayfa al-Khutbah). Reports with the same meaning were narrated via Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ahmad, via al-'Irbaad ibn Saariyah by Abu Dawud and via Ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ibn Maajah

@@TheBudgetTraveller786 Let's analyze with logic, do you think those who celebrate Maulid: > The ignorant scholars do not have scientific competence? > Do you think they don't take everything from the Qur'an and Hadith? > Do you think they are not afraid ALLAH and his hell? > Do you think they don't respect Rasulullah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam and don't follow the sunnah? Even the scholars who celebrate Mawlid never claim that those who don't celebrate it mean they don't respect or love the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, they only state that this is just ikhtilaf. Wallahu a'lam bish-shawab.

The thing is even grave worshippers call themselves Muslim, isis calls themselves muslim, shia call themselves muslims. We are Muslim but to separate yourself from them

Alhamdulillah for giving such aalim for the Muslim world

Most people think that it is ok to celebrate birthday of Allah's last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) because we only recite Quran, read Nasheed and preach Islam. Thinking that it is preferable. Infact they have added innovation in already completed Deen of Islam. May Allah give us guidance. Ameen.

Shiekh Jazakalah. But I would like to tell you that music and other things you mentioned are not part of the Mawlid. it is telling the Sirah of the Prophet SCW reminding the young people and generation how important it is to come together and tell how the Prophet Muhammed SCW spread this Deen and the beautiful stories about the Prophet and the Sahaba. Coming together is not Shirk, telling stories about the Prophet is not shirk and reminding people that this day is the day and month that Prophet Muhammad SCW was born. But Shiekh How about celebrating the week of Wahab and rejecting the celebration of the Mawlid. Allah knows the best May Allah guide us.

That's very good point my brother. They won't talk about the celebration of wahabi which is done every year and some of their Sheikhs attends. They attack people who celebrate maulid as if they have committed a great sin.

@@hassanalhussein3982religious innovation is a great sin. Islam gave us 3 celebrations (apart from random) which are 2 eids and every Friday. This is also an imitation of the Christian’s, who celebrate Jesus birthday

What we conceive as puritan islam is very detrimental to the basic values of Islam. I dont think celebrating birthday of prophet bpuh as haram. That's also a puritan version

If it was beneficial to celebrate the mawlid then the Prophet pbuh would have commanded us to it just like he told us to send salutations on him when we hear his name because Allah rewards us too when we do it and the companions of the prophet had much more love for him then us and they did not celebrate it. So those who celebrate it, ask yourself do you want to follow the prophet and his companions or your forefathers who you found celebrating it and you following them after you know what the truth is ?

I don't know what maulid you went to that have music or dancing, in every maulid I went to, people just recite salawat and read his sirah, you can't say maulid is wrong because some people dance and play music, the problem is music and dancing, not maulid. Also its okay if you don't wanna go to maulid, but don't stop people who want it.

It’s a celebration once a year. Islam only gave us 3 yearly celebrations (aside from random celebrations). Those are the 2 eids and Jummah.

i love prophet muhammad. i will continue celebrate his birthday like our beloved prophet muhammad family did. i will continue cherish it and be happy. abu jahal celebrate our prophet birthday and make a feast on his birthday. sultan muhammad al fatih is a sunni. syeikh nuruddin al zanki is a sunni. saladin is a sunni. pls. drop this doctrine from najd.

I'm sorry ya akhī but none of the Sahabahs رضوان الله عليهم, The Prophet's Wives رضي الله عنهن, , the tabieen; Abdullah Ibn Mubarak, Ḥasan Al Basri, the tabīʿ tabieen; the 4 Imams of the Madhāib all never celebrated and this celebration was never known to them. Do you think that we love the Prophet Muhammad ‎ ‎ﷺ more than the Ṣahabah? Or were they not the ones who loved the Prophet ‎ ‎ﷺ the most and strived the most for good deeds according to the Prophet ‎ ‎ﷺ's teachings? So yeah, some things to ponder here and who's teachings are you following actually. Don't wanna stir up any conflict but lets all try our best to seek the truth.

@ابو أسلم البربري i will continue because my love is big enough. even prophet muhammad tell his sahaba his own birth day, “monday” if you want to kill me for doing bid’ah so be it. i won’t do anything to harm you in fact i will bring this love in front of allah. let allah decide which is better.

@@AbuAzZubayr The sahabas used to praise the prophet by nashid . I think you need to learn more instead of just listening to one side. Hassan bin Thabit RA praised the prophet Mohammad inside his masjid and the prophet SAW gifted him with his clock. There are so many examples. The Answari women played duff and sang Twala Abdru Alaina min thaniyatil wadah. When the prophet arrived in Madina.There are many examples .

hmmmm what if we celebrate without thing RAsulullah forbit? and do you know hadith fasting monday and thursday in CELEBRATING His Birth?

How come this wahhabis can claim to love prophet (s) when they have demolished the house he was born in and also the very own house he lived for more than 20 yrs of his life and turned into public toilet. They haven't just destroyed or eliminated proof of islamic history but humiliated as well. Above incident have been reported in all reputed international media.
