Saladin & the 3rd Crusade | Horns of Hattin | Middle East History | Extra History | Part 1
📜 History of Saladin & the 3rd Crusade: Horns of Hattin - Guy de Lusignan, King of Jerusalem. Raymond III, Count of Tripoli. And The Grandmaster of the Knights Templar. Before them, they carry the True Cross, a piece of wood from the cross Christ died on, secured in an ornate silver box. And they’re on a rescue mission to relieve the besieged city of Tiberias. But they are not allies. Until a few days ago, these men were divided over a bitter succession crisis. However now they put that aside to face a threat so great no one kingdom can face it. The man who’d united the Muslim middle east against them: Saladin.

The struggle between Saladin and Richard the lioneheart for Jerusalem is truly one of the most fascinating event of the middle ages!
As a devout Catholic myself who loves to study history I really admire Saladin as a Sultan. He was a great leader who united all of the islamic nations under one banner and gave the Crusaders a nasty right hook to the face. Heck they called King Richard the Lionheart because he still faced Saladin without fear even though they all knew how much of a boss Saladin is. Yeah Saladin was a great Sultan and I respect and admire him.

SO EXCITED that you're doing the Third Crusade!
I've been waiting for this for ages
happy new year mate
I am confused how in a series that it’s named after Saladin (not Third Crusade) how you don’t have more time for his personal life. Now it’s seems like it’s Third Crusade from one perspective.

they recapped Saladin the most, while going through briefer overview for rest of the players of the third crusade. I say that justified the title.

It's the political not the personal history of Saladin, and other than his ascent to power, the bit most familiar to the West is his Jihad against the Crusades.

It's literally titled "Saladin & the 3rd Crusade", which means it's about Saladin in relation to the 3rd crusade. Not their problem you apparently can't read.
i have been waiting for this series for 2 years ;)
this just made my birthday a whlole lot better
Since you guys are making a series on Salah Al-Din, you should do a series on Baibars.

and Ali Pasha, the ruler of Egypt
I've experienced these events so many times in Age of Empires 2. I can even point out which event corresponds to a mission. 3:17 = Mission 1 - An Arabian Knight 5:11 = Mission 2 - Lord of Arabia 5:56 (heck, you could include the prelude of this video) = Mission 3 - The Horns of Hattin
Was booting up civ6 when this video got up. Thanks for giving me an idea!
After years of waiting we finally get another series on the crusades
5:26 Saladin was pissed because they broke the agreement that both parties will not harm any travelers or traders.
Please make a video on 7 Years war History of the Middle east
This is my favorite moment in history! I can't till Richard joins AAAAHHH so excited! I love the 3rd crusade!
