Sal Governale’s Cure for Sleep Paralysis: Having His Soul Leave His Body

Ойын-сауық

Like his Stern Show co-worker JD Harmeyer, Sal Governale tells Howard he too suffers from sleep paralysis. Only he discovered an out-of-this-world cure that involves flying into space.

Astral projection (or astral travel) is a term used in esotericism to describe an intentional out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of a soul or consciousness called an "astral body" that is separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it throughout the universe. It's been practiced for centuries.

astral projection is real and its more common than u think. it happened to me once. i flew over to my cousins and friends place i saw what they were doing and i thought i was dreaming until my cousin confirmed everything i said about him from what he wore to the conversation he had with his parents. scared the shit out of me. i tried researching more about it and learnt that u can actually do it voluntarily. what had me shook was when i found out all the top secret government buildings in the world like the pentagon and vatican library etc has this thing called an astral seal which prevents anything 4th dimension beings from entering

The same thing actually happened to me! Wow I’m actually shocked how relatable his story is too mine. I also shot up towards the sky very fast but I actually made it to outer space and into a galaxy (funny how they joked about that). I then was in a cabin and I was with one of my Co Workers, I did end up waking myself up from being scared since it was my first time. I’m kinda disappointed that we didn’t hear the rest of his story. The super weird part of my experience is that the very next day my Co Worker actually brought up the “dream” and was actually there too..Crazy shit.

I get sleep paralysis a half a dozen times a year. I suggest reading up on it if you're not familiar with how it works on a medical basis. The things you experience during sleep paralysis are just a heightened dreams that seem so real (it's beyond scary at times.) I'm glad I know how it works. Science >>> your opinion.

Holly Stiener I bought and studied a book on Astral Projection years ago. I saw my self outside of my body. I actually saw myself sleeping on the bed and flew around the house. It happened to me several times. What made me stop was when I left the house, went outside and flew around my neighborhood. All of a sudden, I saw several hooded figures walking around my neighborhood. They were wearing cloaks like monks but I couldn’t see their faces. They noticed me up in the air and began to chase me and then I woke up in my bed. Last time I did that lol.

I’ve never left my room but I’ve floated up to my wall thinking I was still in my body. I’d lean against my wall and try to keep my balance thinking that I’m still in my body. Then when I can finally move and get out of the REM state, I realize I’m still in my bed. It’s the trippiest thing ever. I don’t believe it’s my soul leaving my body tho 😅 I’m just hallucinating in the dream state.

I’ve had sleep paralysis since I was a kid, not as often now as an adult but I don’t know wtf Sal is talking about with astral projection. It’s more likely he’s tripping from lack of oxygen. As a kid I swore I was dying especially if I had fallen asleep on my stomach and woke up with my face in the pillow. I couldn’t breathe and I’d just think okay this is how I die because I can’t move. It was pretty bad as a kid and it lessened as I got older because I knew what it was and after being taken to doctors I knew there was no physical reason for my not breathing so I stopped panicking. When it happens now I have an internal conversation of you know what this is, you will start breathing, your limbs will respond and I just jolt out of it. It’s like everything is running on a dead battery that then gets plugged into an ac outlet. They wanted me to wear those breathing machines that people with sleep disorders wear as a kid but I would wake up at night, take all that shit off and not remember taking it off in the morning so after awhile I stopped bothering to wear it.

Sleep paralysis is real, but what Sal's talking about is astral projection - which is a common byproduct of the visual hallucinations associated with sleep paralysis. The problem is that Sal's explaining his outta-body-experience as if there's no doubt in his mind: he's been floating around his house every night at 3am like a fucking ghoul, & the only thing stopping him is his true fear of floating away into the ether.

Sleep paralysis is when for a brief time you're trapped between being awake and asleep. So you're still half dreaming but feel awake. It's happened to me a bunch of times and i saw stuff in my room but I know it's hallucinations. Sal was dreaming.
