Sako 90 Quest - Super accurate and great handling!

With the new Sako 90 now replacing the Model 85 rifles the new features and design of the 90 are proving popular with the shooting public. There is a trend towards adjustable stock designs to accommodate a wide range of shooters sizes and ergonomic positional shooting positions out in the field. This new Sako 90 Quest is one such rifle that takes over from the Carbon Wolf 85 and as such has a multi-adjustable carbon fibre stock made from Sako`s own resin transfer moulding (RTM) technology. It achieves not only a light weight stock and thus overall rifle at 3.0kg but all the strength, weather resistance and adjustable cheek piece and length of pull (LOP) one would need. Couple to this the impregnable Cerakoted metal barrel and action parts over the stainless steel action and barrel and you have yourself a rifle capable of anything you or the British weather can throw at it!
The larger loading port does add cartridge loading in the field when in a hurry and the new trigger system with its five pre-set positions for weight that is instantly accessed through the trigger guard is perfect and just so simple to use.
GMK Ltd are stocking the Quest with its 20 inch barrel length in calibres from 22-250 Rem, 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, 308 Win with a retail price of £4395.00

Your reviews are awesome! You are reviewing all the guns I want to know about. Any idea when the Sako 90 Quest ULTRA will hit the market. It hard to find any information at all on the Ultra.

I own S20 and want 90 quest. Finally perfect stock (S20 is plastic cheap piece of ....), adjustable trigger, if only it was available in 6.5 PRC .....

Did you find out if you can retro fit the new 90 trigger unit to your S20 ?
What would be your choice of factory ammunition for red/fallow be ?, good video and looks a good solid rifle.thanks.

Hi Really depends on your calibre of rifle. I really like the new Hornady ECX factory ammo as it has a flat meplat and in the lighter weights for .308 cal is not only lead free but actually expands correctly and dissipates the bullets energy within the vitals unlike some larger lead free bullet weights that have a tendency to pass on through with less bullet expansion.

Based on your time with 90 Peak and this 90 Quest, which would you choose if a .308 is what you were looking for?

Personally I like the Peak as for my type of shooting I don`t really need the adjustable features.

This might be a stupid question but how expensive this rifle is why wouldn't you just get a gunsmith to build a custom rifle? I have gotten quotes for 4k for custom.

price in norway around 6k. Yes, its not so stupid idea to build a custom rifle. Pros with sako is shit expensive true double stack magazines.

Good question, I have plenty of custom rifles in odd wildcat calibres but I guess the Quest offers custom like features and accuracy straight from the box with no wait time for construction.
Maybe SAKO sells some nailclippers aye?
Everybody knows you can’t shoot lead free after you shooting jacketed bullets and get top accuracy. Always start with a clean barrel when shooting lead free. The two materials don’t foul the barrel the same.

please don't shoot with a silencer. please shoot with the original rifle. always with the company muzzle brake.

It is expensive, and there are plenty of good rifles at the fraction of the cost of this one.
its not new, you can top load all sako rifles🤷♀

Looks like they copied an Anschutz 1782 but left out the most ingenious Sauer-barrel-swap-system which Anschutz includes & keeps the price the same as this Sako 90,.....so Anschutz on the way for me,....btw - shame on buttretta !!!
