You’re absolutely right Alice too many players out of position, Foden, Trent, and trips all out of position. There all great players but in there positions and yes Bellingham and Foden need to sit in front of Rice, Gordon on the left, Trent right back you need central players who can pick the ball up on the half turn,why was is it not obvious to Southgate grrrrr

Rashford wouldn't be completely impossible for England if he at least had different character traits.

I dont think Trent is better than Walker . For example. I feel Trent would get found out against top players. Could trent deal with mbappe the way walker did in the World Cup quarter final against France? Walker is underrated, sl quick, brilliant world class defender.

I think Southgate bowed to public pressure to leave out Grealish and Rashford who have usually performed well for England. Club form is irrelevant to international form and experience.

Foden and TAA are over- hyped imo as international players. On the other hand , less prominent players , such as Gordon, Bowen and Mainoo have always performed well.

Too many ppl are attacking Foden. But how can we possibly know how bad Foden really was being supported by a right footed left back? I'd like to see Gordon get a shot, but until Shaw is fit, nobody can work that wing

For sure. I just think he needs to play Foden more central and use a box midfield tactic in possesion- ovbs shaw retuning makes that easier.

Trent should just be cover for walker he is not a natural mid end of , i thought bowen has been great foden it aint working guehi looked good would like to have seen eze and palmerfoden and kane were poor but as there mm golden boys southgate not gonna take them of , clearly we could all see they were not at there best

Would like to see Trent over Walker at RB now TBH. Eze/ Gordon would of been nice to see. Agree Guehi was top.

England was good in 1st half but Serbia stepped it up in 2nd I think England can go past group but won’t go far Denmark better than Serbia for England they will want to play good full game not in halfs

Saka & Bellingham were not Brilliant! they were OK, Kane was not in the game time we started to move on from Kane . and i would swap Bowen for Saka and yes i go for Golden next game Kane ? and MOFM should of Been Geuhi Tent was awful and he would got roasted at RB last night and we falling down the same whole with Bellingham, Foden & Parmer as before Square pegs in round holes you can only plat 2 of them

Wasn't really Kane's fault. He got almost as little service as I did sitting on my couch.

Hear me out... This is the first time I see a lady making this much sense in football analysis. And it's quite refreshing. Great job, Alice. And I do think Southgate is misusing players horribly, especially Phil Foden.

Yeah Foden in central spaces/ box midfield works but outwide he does not do it.

How gr8 will Jude be when Brummie Lion Cub grows up & turns into a Big Lion. Sir Alex says players peak at age 27 to 30. Jude will be better than Zidane, Di Stefano & Bobby Charlton. Who were not even regular internationals at age 20. Jude loves Trent & Rice & Kane. Gonna be hard to split up that Quad when Jude wants em to play football like the Beatles played music. Trent = Pirlo/Buruchaga hybrid Rice = Nobby Stiles/Beckenbauer hybrid Kane = Hurst/Klinsman hybrid Jude = Zidane/Bobby Charlton hybrid All World Cup winners. Its gonna be amazing to be at the WC Final in USA 2026 to see Messi, Enzo, Alexis, Alvarez vs our football Beatles. I cant get that hey Jude addidas advert song out of my head
