@@juamy2313 you gotta think of their audience. Blackpink are some of the most followed people on instagram and their audience is primarily East Asian/Asian. I read somewhere that the demographics that spends the most on luxury items are Asians from China, Singapore, Korea, etc. Blackpink seem to have a reach and a target audience compatible to designer brands, whereas western celebrities don’t really have that.

@@CeCe1066 yes ofc and I don’t want to put any artist names here but there are many Asian artists who have reached Blackpink’s level and yet they’ve never been selected for the modeling industry. I don’t think they were chose n JUST on popularity and it’s due to their own style and aura

Personally speaking I think ysl was an amazing brand for rose , because before working together, she was seen more as a “sweet , indie girl next door” , that was her image , but ever since she started working with ysl a different side of her started to show up , an effortless , rock , sexy , side , it gives her a lot of edge and adds to her personal brand , I love it

I feel like the other three members really engage well with their brands, there is a sort of essence that each brand has that brings out each member inner charm, but I just don't feel it with Lisa and Celine, I feel it with BVLGARI and Lisa but CELINE and Lisa, no, I don't get anything.

I don’t know if it’s the brand or the stylist’s decision for them to be an ambassador but the four of them really fit each brand’s aesthetic 😩 LISA for Celine, JENNIE for Chanel, ROSÉ for YSL and JISOO for Dior. When I first got into fashion Ysl was the first brand that I did a deep dive into, so it'll always hold a soft spot for me and she looks so striking wearing it. Overall another excellent video, now that Rosé has opened up her own youtube channel I can only wish this ends up in her feed someday.

I wouldn’t think of any other BlackPink member for YSL, and not because the others couldn’t carry the brand message but bc Rosé is so YSL, I mean she really captures the brand style with her femenin yet chic look. Even when she hadnt even been announced as YSL Global Ambassador. I had already pictured her as the one.

I think there is a contradiction with Rosé haha, from one side she is supee friendly, sweet and soft...but her other side is fierce, determined and strong. It's just so beautiful and you can see it on hee style. Sometimes she is very girly wearing pastel colors and flowers, but also wears strong monocromatic pieces that make the image of a sensual woman

YSL + Tiffany&Co = Rosé...

Loved the video, your editing is soo nice! This is by far my favorite brand pairing of all the girls and I love how close she is with the YSL team. My biggest complaint is with BP’s stylist and team who I feel are too restrictive in how they let the girls express themselves. This is especially obvious with YSL since it’s a very edgy, sexy brand. She has to wear spaghetti straps under see-through blouses, no red lips or bold liner for group activities since it’s “too much” for k-makeup, etc. She really shines during the YSL campaigns since their team is in charge. They’re a perfect mix of her and the brand’s image.

It's actually kind of magic from their PR team to make the girls being synonymous with specific brand. Like I think Rose in LV is also makes sense, or maybe Balmain. Lisa in Versace could work or even lets say Mugler also great pairing tbh. But why not? It's all about creating image of high fashionista that suitable for Asian market. Like you said in the video, in the end they are brand ambassador, their job is to sell well by creating fantasy.

Tbh, Rosé also fits the vibe of Valentino, Alexander Wang, Viviene Westwood, Jacquemus, Versace and Balmain. Rosé just has that high fashion modelling aspect on her that high fashion brand really suit her. But YSL and Rosé are just a perfect match. They complement each other. And I must say that YSL and Rosé pairing is the most perfect pair among the four girls an d their respective brands.

it was definitely a pr/marketing move to get the girls into fashion houses. it has definitely given them another place to find fans and be out there but on the other hand it has on some levels backfired as many now have considered the girls more as models than actually idols. i mean, good move from yg to get them to fashion houses, but probably shouldve given them proper time in the music industry before. the lack of music compensated with fashion stuff really served blinks by givng the fans content in that way, but not them as musicians and idols. sure they have topped the charts in many places but from what ive seen they are really praised for their looks more than their capabilities in music (obvs blinks to both but talking about ppl other than blinks), which is quite sad. youd think theyd want to be known for their music and abilities to make music more than the looks and fashion. imo yg should have bigger focus on the music than the fashion and them being ambassadors. then again, teddy keeps making all their stuff so idk if theres a way out of there either lol. just want the girls to actually do music themselves and not seem like pretty girls who sing what they are given to.

I think you don't know what kpop idols meant they're not just singing they're modelling doing dramas or movie n now as UN representive.. @@acusalleh12 sweetie i know enough about kpop to make my comments. they might be slitghtly involved in their solo (rose the most definitely), but i was talking about the group. my comment still stands, even if they would have some credtis in some songs they most likely make small changes, bc from the content we have seen they get their songs quite ready and then might make a few changes. like changing the word in lovesick girls from lonely to lovesick if i remember correctly. they definitely arent the main people behind the music.
