Nice vid analysis on Saint Laurent. I personally own a lamb skin Slimane era Celine biker jacket and just love it. But I think both are equally awesome.

Great video. I owned 5 SLP leather jacket, and all of them are awsome quality. But really sad to see the quality of SL's leather jacket being downgraded since 2021, seems like they start to use lower quality leather to cut down production cost, eventhough the price is increasing. If anyone who interest in this jacket, I highly recommend buy older model, benfore 2019 or during Hedi's era (13-16)

Agreed, however I have owned 6 L01's over a span of 5 years (I keep selling them then rebuying them) all from Hedi era and found that my most recent pickup from 2017 calf to be better in terms of durability. The Lambskin jackets look amazing but scratch and tear so easily. Shame for the price. I have found calfskin to be the way to go.

I feel as of late, the Gen-Z is sort of in the mom jeans era and I hope they hope they get out of it. I loved the L01, and L17, as L17 is still one of my favorite jackets. The only jacket i'm seriously considering is perhaps the Lewis Leather Lightning Jacket, I honestly think that is one of the best looking jackets I really want.

Miss this great channel man. Love the video and the content. This jacket isn’t my style but I love seeing others rock it.

Dope vid as usual, I got mine - a OAK NYC L01 Alternative, sadly the brand is no more but I scored the awesome clean lined, cow hide black leather jacket thanks to them! Would def recommend anyone here to look at grailed if they find the same it is a very suitable alt in terms of design & quality. However, the L01 will be GOAT 🐐

Hey man thanks! The Oak NYC jackets look good - checked some out on Grailed. And yes REISS always has good jackets, usually decent alts to the higher end labels but always with a bit of a different spin. Gonna check out their leather biker

@@RadialTV great!! I have an OAK NYC one that aged really well 5 years later - if you want cowhide is NY & lambskin is LA Rider, they also made a coat type longer one I might want at some later point - sad that the brand did not make it!

Do you take a larger size than normal for the L01? I tried the usual medium but could barely zip it up and almost had to hold my breath! seems like yours is a similar slim fit but not sure its worth having a few thousand on a jacket that cant be closed comfortably?

who closes their leather jacket? lol. never seen anyone do it, they're meant to be worn open unless you're riding, in which case, this is not the jacket for you

Shoulders have to fit right. would definitely recommend trying it on to make sure the shoulders aren’t too big. Fit is very personal to you and affects how you feel and look in the jacket.

If you’re talking about the double breasted asymmetrical zips, I have that same one. Not sure what the model number is for it but there’s a video that talks about the same jacket on Felix Svensen channel.

Hey, thanks! Goldblum definitely wears the lambskin version of the Saint Laurent L01. You can tell the leather is more smooth and shiny than the calf leather. Negan’s jacket is pretty unique but you could check out Schott for some high quality jackets that might pull off a similar look.

its too short, on some guys in the vid it looks like a bolero jacket, i with i had kept my 2 biker jackets from when i was a teenager, they looked better than this one and were more my style, even though they were double breasted they had a strap collar which i much prefer, they also didnt have the belt they had 2 buckles on either side, very hard to find this style now, having said that i recently bought a really soft lamb skin biker jacket, i am going to get the collar altered into a strap and itll be very nice, got to be careful with lamb skin though its delicate

Story et Fall just came out with their version of the L01 as well and it is prices around 550

Too many fakes are being made and the additional panels shows the jacket it’s not worth $$$ I have had many YsL things and boots have a fake heel like women heel hollow heel I would take a Schott 626vn or 613s any day over this

Schott’s always win, they are one of the originals! The fake YSLs are quite a bit of a step down in quality but are also a fraction of the price. We would buy a Story et Fall or From The First any day over a fake/rep

Unfortunately From The First jacket doesn’t exist 😂. Speaking from someone who has tried to purchase it myself, I challenge anyone to find any actual real reviews/in hand of the jacket

Looks a lot smaller in the video than it is but it does zip up.

I don't like it, it looks like a cross zip that is confused either want to be british lewis leather lightning or american schott perfecto, and thus lacks the appeal of both because it misses things that make those design works, on lightning the sleeve pocket and the waist buckles help to make it look rockstar, and in perfecto the slant chest pocket and dangling belts make the cool biker look, while this jacket choose coin pockets that adds nothing to the coolness as homage to both designs and deleting elements that make those jacket cool, and paper thin epaulette that is positioned too high up on the shoulder doesn't help either

Great comment. Very well said. Some of the appeal might be brand loyalty, some is Hedi fandom, and many people do actually like the L01 design. It’s a polarizing item though, a real love/hate! Definitely can’t beat the Schott perfecto design though, it will always be the original.

Do I see correctly you cannot close that jacked? Kinda ridiculous value for money. Why not getting a jacket between the Schott and this…The RealMcCoys, the Flathead, finecreek leathers to name a few. I guess I know the answer…because that tiny square label is more important than the actual craftsmanship;)

It looks like it for some reason in the video but it can definitely be zipped up. A bit snug, but not uncomfortable. It’s video trickery!

Jacket is too small

L01 is a slim cut jacket. Doesn't work on your body frame.
