Hello Pedro how are you? Thanks man, I love Porto I need to make a supervlog of Porto asap. I will get it done in the spring. I love Porto, I lot of people from my mum and dads family came from Porto, Braga, Santa Maria da Feira and Aveiro and all migrated to Brazil. I love Portugal and Bernardino is one of my heroes, his life is amazing I should write a book about him! :-) He sailed to Brazil when he was 16 and had a fleet of boats there. (galeões Patachos and Steam ships). He used to sail from Rio to Montevideo a lot for he had contracts with the Royal Mail. Then he got involved with the commerce of rice in that part of the world. Married a "portuguesa do Brasil" who descended from Portuguese navigators such as António Leme and João Gonçalves Zarco and was the only woman to run rice mills in the southern coast of Brazil. In the Rio world food fair he won "best rice in the world" then represented Brazil in the Philadelfia food fair in the 1870s lol his life is like a movie, seriously. He is one of my biggest inspirations in life, his house still stands in Brazil. He had Portuguese tiles brought from Porto to decorate his son's house. :-)

Hey man Great video, I was in Porto in late May this year and I did not know about this festival but I’m planning to go there next year. Quick question, is my understanding that the festival last two days (23&24), are both days the same ? Like fireworks and everything else the same? Please let me know your comments! Cheers

Hey there, how are you? Thanks for writing to me. Fireworks should happen on Saint Johns day, but it always good to check because it can change. The fireworks should happn always on the night of the 23rd of June, which is Saint John's eve. Both days aren´t the same. The 23rd is usually where most of the party happens. Hey man, it is pretty obvious it wasn't this year! There was no party this year for obvious reasons. The video isn´t about an specific date, but about what the party is like and where it comes from, so the year isn´t important at all, just the party itself. Thanks for writing though. Cheers!
