These poor ppl in small towns and villages are responsible for all this seriously! The debri from the construction of hydro projects, tunnels and roads were carelessly dumped on the banks of the rivers by the goverment and private companies. These encroachments by poor villagers are not even .005% of what govt and construction companies are doing in HP & UK on a massive scale.

Our infrastructure is so weak that it can under no circumstance stand the force of nature. In this case, a fast flowing river. The villages must be protected and laws against building homes and commercial buildings so close to the river, should be in place. How do we expect tourists to come visit if this is the quality of the buildings.
