She us supposed to be relatively weak. She is the decoy Sailor Moon. Which makes no sense because she is called Sailor Venus.... but that was the idea.

@@ABC4475 the japanese are HUGE on strict rankings for superheroes. Very rigid 'status' for the heroes. unlike the western idea where the underdog wins without knowing what they are doing.

In the manga and in Crystal, Venus Love-Me Chain is literally a chain wrapped around her waist. It has the most utility.

Love and beauty shock hits harder, but I rarely miss with crescent beam

Venus is a star which representatives for love and beauty, so her transformation and attacks always be more beautiful than remain sailors. Love Minako - Sailor Venus

Best light-mage. Charming, lovely, catchy. Instead of agressive attacks, she prefers to use her abilites more delicate, giving her enemies a surprise attack, or immobilizing them. But even if she's not that highly qualified as sailor scout, she's a professional in relationships. Honestly, I love her Crescent Beam attack, because it's straight, sometimes even deadly.

the anime got venus all wrong, her outfit isnt supposed to be orange but yellow, also her attacks arent light based but metal or weapons, i guess they made her "light based" in the anime for better animation, cus in the manga she uses a boomerang in classic, her "crescent beam" in sailor V manga is just the moonlight reflected on her pocket mirror, and all the other attacks are based on her chain never light.

Sailor Venus has a strange and unique build: Her attacks seems to be focused on maximizing critical strike accuracy. (Yet in the anime they seem to miss quite often.) Her Love Me Chain seems like an outlier, made mostly to immobilize/zone out enemies than to damage them.

I agree. The funny thing is that in the manga her chain is her main weapon and most of her attacks come from her chain. I dont understand why they made her chain be energy based in the old anime.

Can you verify? Her abilities look like light based attacks, solid light constructs/lazer beams of concussion force/ heat energy /constructs of solid light chains, etc? What is the love and beauty shock thing? It's a singular heart of light that hurts enemies somehow? I think we've seen the chain be used as an mono directional attack to counter projectiles.

To be fair, Sailor Venus was pretty badass by shooting a Crescent Beam straight into the face of a Female Demon before she died. Still my favorite Senshi.

Amie Matthew they gave her a more versatile skill. After they change Mercury attack into a more aggressive one the team need some kind of support skill and I guess love chain is easier to be supportive than fire and lightning

In season two she was already getting her ass kicked alongside them! it's no one's fault but the writer's who made her attacks basically a joke and nerfed her quite hard. She is weak in the anime, not as weak as Ami for example but weak nonetheless.

Love me chain and crecent beam are waaaaay more interesting than love and beauty shock.

Aside from the Love-Me Moon Chain, where is the "SAILOR KICK"? It was included as Sailor Venus disguised as Sailormoon.

She has the same attack as Andromeda in Saint Seiya. The Love me Chain even does the same sound effect.

I wish she had "Crescent Beam Shower" more often in the anime. I always thought that her "Love & Beauty Shock" attack (physically) looked as if it should instead have been "Rolling Heart Vibration" since the heart is literally revolving, but maybe that's just me lol.

Crescent beam shower is from the filler arc. Those attacks are almost never used outside of it.

She somehow looks downgraded instead of upgraded in later season. She and Sailor Jupiter also got their Super form in the same episode as if they were less important than Mars and Mercury who had their power-up in separated episodes. Crescent Shower Beam was a perfect attack because it couldn’t be dodged as beams of energy aimed in every direction.

I like love me chain and love and beauty shock the golden hearts are just a nice touch to her personality lovely and charismatic

So her first attacks were kind of a railgun, whilst the last one is like a projectile weaon. IMHO the first ones were much more effective.

In crystal the chain is used to grab things far away from enemies and in sailor V she had some healing purification powers similar to moon but as a healing rain. Didn’t see it in the manga.

I agree on this! Sailor Venus had energy-based attacks previously, which had the firepower roughly as a plasma gun. Her later attacks are much, much weaker, and can be only comparable to a shotgun, or a super shotgun at most.
