Some of the questions you might have that I answer in this video includes:
Does the ferry have toilets or a cafe?
Where do you buy tickets for the ferry?
Where does the ship sail from?
Where does the ship sail to on Uglijan?
How big is the ship between Zadar and Preko?
In this video I’ll show you how to get from Ugljan Island to Zadar port Gaženica Sailing on Jadrolinja’s ship Jadran. I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the route, and what you can expect on board the boat.
The ship sails from Preko port and the route takes you across to Zadar main port just south of the city. It’s a distance of around 5 kilometres and takes around 25 minutes. This route is number 431 and operates up to 18 times a day in high season. You can buy a ticket from the Jadrolinja office beside the dock in Preko. Or using the Apple or Android app on your phone. Jadran is a roll on, roll off ferry and takes both foot passengers and vehicles. It was built in 2010 by the Brodosplit shipyard in Split, Croatia and has a twin, called Biokovo built a year earlier in the same shipyard. They are both 87 meters long and can carry up to 1200 passengers and 138 cars, so there’s plenty of room. So, let’s get on board and I’ll show you around. Jadran’s main passenger deck is a large open plan air conditioned area which feels modern and clean. It has a small cafe serving drinks and snacks and there’s another smaller family area. Above is the sun deck that affords great views. Both decks have toilet facilities. Before you know it, Zadar port comes into view and we dock and unload quickly. Easy as that you’re across from Preko to Zadar. I hope you found this video interesting. I have another video about the ferry Lara between Preko and Zadar Old Town so check that out too.
