Been looking foward to this episode! I am Norwegian and have been to that factory and Odda several times. Fantastically made and really a nice portrait of Odda, the locals and nature!!! When we locals go we notice the rain, gloom and remoteness. Safe sailing.

Fantastic episode! Being norwegian myself I am thankful for your impression of the fjord and Odda of course - been there many times shipping out zink billets to the UK. Not a mariner myself but been working for a couple of shipowners for nearly 30 years. All the best Sir, Take care Sailor! ⚓️🇳🇴

Yep, that's the Norwegian coastline alright. I'm not a local; been there on a couple of trips. It's majestic, otherworldly, and unforgettable (the inland areas as well). The epic music used in the clip is right on the mark.

I was thinking the same thing, be great to have an audiobook narrated by Joe, Maybe some tale of the sea, even his own tale of the sea.

Unbelievable. It's as though Norway is a living fairytale. Everything is so neat and orderly. That chessboard in the park.... Just an incredible video, Joe.

The scenery in Norway - beautiful. The poignant music did not prepare me for that. I expected to be sad. But no thank goodness. I was happy and mesmerized.

I sailed into Bergen in 1988 as part of a NATO exercise. I was Navy then. They had a Cadillac club and brought their cars out for a show. Man what memories! Yes the fjords are indescribably beautiful. Would love to return.

You are so lucky having electric grabs. They are sooooo sloooooow. Guaranteed slow discharges and extra port time. We had them on Jebsens Swiftnes and Sealnes in the early 70s. Made up for the 63 day non stop trips from Australia to Europe. Happy days.
