It’s a shame that a team can do this well and still be under threat of being dropped. :-(

That’s a good guess, he’s certainly the most famous and successful Spanish athlete I can think of off the top of my head.

phil robertson might not be quite good enough to represent New Zealand but currently has performances a lot better than anything America’s got Just look at the results If America was ahead of Canada, they could accuse them of being cocky but The currently just performing better so is that really being cocky? Or just stating the truth. You wouldn’t criticise Nathan Outteridge about not being good enough to compete for his country He is definitely in the top three helmsman of SailGP American sale is notorious for talking smack off the racecourse Whether it’s justified or not

Phil could only have represented his country if he’d started SailGP New Zealand himself back in 2018 (and we may never know what behind-the-scenes reason NZ wasn’t a founding team when there was demand for it, but the fact is that they weren’t), when he signed on he was China’s skipper and by the time there WAS a New Zealand team he was committed to Spain and Tuke and Burling brought in their own crew of people they’d worked with before.

Didn’t expect the yanks to be so sooky! They broke it and sure haven’t sailed that well. Let your sailing do the talking boys. That said I’d be pissed to not have a part available having bought a team …. And it only gets worse in Halifax when they don’t even get their boat launched …
