Germany has not been a sovereign state since May 1945 when the US teamed up with the UK and the Bolshiviks to murder millions of Germans in a war that should have been fought without the UK and France because, reading through the 3rd Reich's speeches and documents, the mid century Germans did not care about France and the UK unless they were forced to by the versailles treaty insane geopolitical shambles. I've concluded that the reason for the Versailles treaty was to "democratize" the entire central and eastern Europe from becoming powerful. The reason why is democracy is the easiest form of government to "hack", IE pull in politicians by buying them out or blackmailing them, to do the UK's and France bidding. That is why you had Poland acting so belligerent to the mid century Germans in the Danzig negotiations under the pretext of the mid century Germans taking over Czech but this was spun as Poland didn't gain territory over Munich. The fact is the War Guarantees that Chamberlain gave, dying of cancer and doped up, were instrumental in setting up the next war. How was it accomplished? By buying off the Polish politicians with many ending up in the baltic states to meet their demise when Stalin forced his way in.

Pobrecítos, really!
I continue being amazed by people voting for current EU/US governments. They are essentially saying "We like the world we live in, give us more of the same". That means they like the wars, growing international tension and hostilities, continuous impoverishment of the population, deteriorating security, stagnation/recession of economies, etc. One could almost say "we deserve this".
@davidrichaidson3269
Ай бұрын
Er !! Stop and think!! Tis not that the population's of Europe endless wars, low standards of living etc as you opine, rather, in Europe is the " fear" of the population's by the political class!! European politicians led in the main by Germany after the war, wanted to set themselves as an economic powerhouse, a " bloc," as it were between the he US and Russia!! The other countries that formed the first 12 countries joined up not for international dream, rather, in the case of the former colonial countries as a method to hold on to their former colonies and continue to extract resources on the cheap, but as members of a large power that is able to crush any dissent by these colonies!! Internally this " power" was sold to the electorate of how they each have maintained their former powers, and more importantly, the need to maintain that power as their " colonies" needed guidance and protection in developing their countries on the road to democracy and modernization!! The truth was however, on the case of the UK their status as an " imperial power" died in 1956 on the banks of the Suez canal in a war with Egypt!! This was never, has never been explained to UK citizens, instead, successive Governments have always sought to hype up international issues as threats, or the need for British influence on whatever region!! One fascinating example of how this " war mentality" exploited by the political class , for shoring up political support for a failed Government was the Falklands war against Argentina!! Ok!!both sides faced the exact same political problem, only the British were just much more adept of the " salesmanship" of the conflict internationally and domestically!! Today, the British media still sell this as the most glorious time in British politics, when " Tommy" - the British army as a whole- gave the Argentines a " bloody nose"!! The public have no say in these shenanigans by the political class, simply every year they are told of the might of Europe with the cooperation of EU countries in building this modern warship, aircraft, tank, etc, etc, and how these " machines" are like no other on the planet, given the technologies the (White) European countries possess!! What has happened however, is the political class in Europe have failed disastrously!! The economic miracle of the EU has failed, the expansion of the EU as a buffer to other States has failed, and today, all that is left to the political class is the manufacture of " fear" real and imagined!! The war in Ukraine, has laid bare the fallacy by Europe being able to defend it's " adventures" abroad, the fallacy of their technological prowess in the face of Russia and China, and a growing Middle East!! It's not clear where Europe goes from here, except to 2025 when most of not all the present Western leaders will be swept aside politically, except that is here in the UK as the present " opposition" is bereft of any idea of politics even at the most mundane level!! Harsh!! But true!!

“Wagenknecht rejected left-wing and right-wing labels” That almost always means they don’t want you to know who they really are politically. Or where they’re really coming from. In other words she’s a con job who will not deal straight with people. I avoid politicians like that like the plague.

She's a classic left wing! Not one of the modern lunatic leftists! Very reasonable, rational, realistic and intelligent. And full of self esteem.
Both of the Alex‘s play their role in this total charade. All politicians are owned by the powers that be, and they simply rotate them through hero to vilan status, replacing them when they’ve served their purpose with someone new, who can fool the public into thinking they can actually influence the outcome of world events. Alex and Alex play their role and their parts in this theater by establishing the new narrative when it’s time to replace the actors in these charades. Wake up people.

With the caveat that Thelma and Louise knew what they were doing when they sailed their "ship of state" into the abyss. Here in the "Free World", most do not want to know. Ignorance will keep us safe! Maybe it will even help us to fly!
The UK needs a party with the policies of Wagenknecht - she actually represents what the working class here wants. Its amazing that we have had zero representation for so long and the situation has been able to continue as mass migration and economic policies associated and not associated with mass migration has left the working class utterly hopeless.

England had a political party that was pro working class and against mass invasion. That was the BNP led by Nick Griffin. You English people largely refused to vote for the BNP after the English media called them the r word( similar to calling anyone who supports the Palestinians the anti s word.)

@@orangehair2518 against mass invasion yes, pro working class no. The party was far right economically. That's not the overwhelming position of the British public - the working class are most closely represented by Galloway (old school Labour) which is why propaganda went so extremely hard against him
@arostwocents

@@orangehair2518 that's the biggest key to 'there is no alternative ' - you pretend being against invasion is a far right position. It's actually a left wing position. Unfortunately the Tories and Labour are both fascist and support mass migration (despite the words the Tories use - look at the figures)
Good day gentlemen
Good analysis. However, 3 elections will take place in the eastern states of Germany this year, in which the AfD will probably be the strongest force (and will continue to be excluded) and Wagenknecht will also do well. In my opinion, these three elections are more important than the European elections, because they will significantly increase the division in Germany.
I note the reference to Clare Daley. She and Mick Wallace are two individuals the Duran surely should invite as guests. I think this would be a very interesting interview
If Germany is deeply in the red, where is the EU going ?
I come from Germany, have lived in 4 countries (Vietnam, Angola, Ukraine and Latvia), and like to hear opinions from people who look at this country from the outside. I've been here for some time now for health reasons, but I'm increasingly disgusted. At the moment, I can't even say whether I will take part in the European elections. The offer is consistently bad. - Monkeys for Germany, - Senile Party of Germany - Free Drummer Party - Christians are allowed to be unchristian, - Olive green war horny comedians - Wagenknecht's one-woman party. Everything given away.
There are only two certainties in life and one is taxes!....... no such certainty in politics!
Wagenknecht is really amazing in basically all her views. Wish her well

Unfortunately, she's also a staunch Marxist. With her policy suggestions, she could easily become a top candidate in the AfD. She doesn't want to do that, because she doesn't like the discomfort and wouldn't be able to gather the support she does now. She's nothing but a stumbling block to actual national sovereignty of the Germans.
Thank you, gentlemen.
Sahra is popular in Russia, lots of videos with her talking in German parliament etc.
❤😊GOOD AFTERNOON GENTLEMEN
On a good day and with a fair wind blowing I suggest that the AFD and Sahra Wagenknecht's Party could collectively achieve 35% of the vote and of the Seats in the EU Parliament. That would constitute an earthquake in German politics!

After all these years Alex Mercouris still can't pronounce the name of the AFD 😂😂😂 On a more serious note I think Alex senior is overestimating the popularity of the CDU and CSU for the upcoming EU elections in June. The biggest party will probably be the AFD with 22% - 22.5% closely followed by the CDU/CSU with 20.5% - 22%. The third largest party is likely to be the Greens with 15% (+- 0.5%) closely followed by the SPD with an abysmal 14.5% (+- 0.5%). Wagenknecht will perform very well with 9% (give or take 0.5%) and will be the surprise performer but so will the FDP that will get a surprisingly high 6.5% (+- 0.3%). Die Linke is still alive and kicking with 3.8% (+- 0.2%). Germans tend to vote for more "adventerous" parties in EU elections so expect the FW (free voters), Animal protection (animal rights) party, ecological, volt and some fringe/protest parties to do relatively well. The polls are wrong about the AFD because they consistently predict it will get only 1 in 4 votes in East Germany when in fact it is the party to benefit the most from the fragmentation of the left and is set to get 1 in 3 East German votes.
The only point is that she is affraid to criticize Nato on the UA/RF war.
Germany has started to wake up to what is going on with the two parties you've named AfD and Sara Wagenknecht's new party, but the only hope is that Thelma and Louise parties have the German greens in the boot.
