SAGOLIKT: A photo of love pt. 4

Hello friends!
I'm having so much trouble with the instagram livestreams lately.. so I had to film the rest of this as a speedcoloring. I hope you don't mind too much. I spend hours and hours editing the last part to get all the color names in there for you guys.

I'm coloring live on Instagram as often as possible. My Instagram followers have been begging me to post my livestreams on youtube, so that's what I'll do.

You have created a beautiful Valentine picture here, and finished in time too. It was lovely watching. Such a shame about the problems you are experiencing with Instagram, it's lovely to hear you chatting away. By the way, you pronounced "Solway" perfectly. The Solway Firth is a big river estuary in Scotland so the colour is presumably reminiscent of the washed out, pale and chilly sky in that area a lot of the time. Do you have any Luminance pencils? If not, and you can find an open stock supplier, there are 3 lovely shades of purple that you would love. I don't have a full set, I have bought a few open stock and these purples are my favourites. The colour names are: Light Aubergine - 095, Violet Grey - 093 and Violet Brown - 129. They are just the sort of colours you love.

Thank you so much! I finish it about a week and a half ago, but I've tried to spread out the videos a bit. It is so frustrating with instagram. But I'm trying to figure out if I might be able to stream from KZread instead :) Thank you for the little back story. The color name makes so much more sense now. I do have the whole set of the Luminance.. not a fan though. I have used the colors you've mentioned once. But I just don't have the urge to pick up any Luminance pencils. They feel so strange to me.. I'll have to do a "Luminance challenge" some time and see if I can get them to work for me :)

AlwaysColoring The Luminance pencils do feel different at first. A bit scratchy. But once I got into colouring a picture with them I really grew to like them. They need a light hand, but they just layer and layer and layer, producing deep, rich colours. Those purple colours are gorgeous. You can mix all sorts of colours by layering different colours. I wanted a warm, deep purple so I added red to the mix, rather like mixing paint and I got just the shade I wanted. I think they need to be practiced, but they give very nice results with no white paper specs showing.

Yes they feels so scratchy and so dry. The light hand part is scary to me. I'm not so light handed, but it could be great practise. I quite like the white paper specs to show through, it makes the coloring seem more airy. Maybe I'll need an extra light hand then :)

Yes you might! I find the first layer or 2 is very open looking and a bit scratchy feeling, but then it's easy to build up solid colour after that and they turn creamy smooth. I quite like solid colour so I love that about them because it's hard to do with my FC Polychromos, which were my only pencils until recently (well, apart from Derwent ColourSoft, which I don't really like much).
