Its called volatility skew. Institutional Investors often buy OTM Put as a hedge against black swan events and sell OTM calls to generate income against a long term stock holding. Hence OTM puts are expensive than OTM calls. This demand supply imbalance is called -"Volatility Skew"

We suffered a lot during 1st week June. However, broke even at end of month. As well said, safety is most important.

Totally agree that Put selling is what gives more heartaches and headaches. You just don't even get time to make any adjustments. I sometimes even write unhedged calls but can NEVER dare do that with Puts. Wven expiry day, selling puts gives headaches, because market moves down massively in 1 single 5 min red candle.

Great video sir. Sir can you please suggest a method to maximize gains out of a credit spread, if initial directional view is correct. For example if I know that NIFTy is going to fall 300 points, I create a bear call spread. My profit is limited to the net premium recieved. Is there a way to adjust the spread so as to enjoy the whole 300 point move, like a futures trader would enjoy.
