This video is intended for loader crane operators of HIAB X-858 X-1058 and provides step-by-step instructions on how to unfold the boom system.
When the stabiliser extensions are extended, the catcher will be released and allow the movements of the first boom.
1. Operate the second boom against the first boom.
2. Retract the extensions.
Note: Do these operations slowly to not damage the parking pin or the parking support.
3. Raise the first boom until Boom Deployment Assistance (BDA) allows you to operate the second boom or when the angle between the horizontal and 2nd boom is more than 135 degrees.
4. Extend the extensions about 300mm until parking pin is released from parking support and plate is shown.
5. Raise the second boom.
6. Slew the crane to working position.
7. Extend the extensions.
