What's your thoughts on red light therapy on black skin?

Hi @kimwilliams3868, I generally don't find red light therapy effective for any skin type. It may be possible to have your condition treated with safer options for dark skin such as PRP, and radiofrequency, but like any thermal treatment, safety is determined by the experience of the doctor performing it. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Do you recommend Morpheus8 for festoon treatment?

Hi @skincareforyou2154, I don't use Morpheus 8 in my practice, and I would have to determine the cause of the festoons, as well as the patient's skin type before I can recommend a specific treatment. It’s also important to remember that the particular device does not determine results, or causes complications, but rather the experience and judgment of the doctor using the device. The device is just a tool, and it’s the doctor’s judgment using the tool that separates great results from ineffectiveness, or potential complications. Hi @anum3702, You've asked about this several times, and you are also too young to be concerned about age-related bone loss. You can talk to your dentist about it when you decide to have it done.

Hello dr, I am 43 years old, I don’t have hollowness under my eyes but have thin skin that folds up a lot when I smile. I was wondering if using a low strength retinol under the eyes would help to tighten the under eye area? But I am also wondering if the skin tightens and eventually pulls downs my lower eyelid then it will cause the eyelid and the under eye skin to sag even more eventually?

Hi @d19764, While treatment that you described is possible, I hope you understand that I can't outright recommend specific treatments without properly diagnosing the issue first. Skin tightening treatments cannot make your skin tighter than it ever was, so it won't pull down the lower eyelid. Lower eyelids are most often pulled down or retracted due to compromising lower eyelid support structures, which includes skin removal as the skin also supports the lower eyelid. I hope this clarifies things for you.
