There are lot of nice places in the world ..wht make s SriLanka especial is that u can just burn in the sea and then go back to misty hill country and chill less than 3 hours duration ...

That's why it is called paradise, you could be swim in indian ocean 30 centigrade and could be chilled within 3-4 hours down to 10 centigrade, you could swim, dive or any water sport at sea and within another 1 hour spend your time at wild life. within any destination 3-4 hours for historical site.... so isn't it a paradise and you can spend your vacation completely with a lowest cost but world class.....

Sri Lanka was in a lot of videos a few years ago and I put it on our travel bucket list. Glad to be reminded of it again. I also like the idea of getting away from beaches and cities. Thanks for showing us this view of the country. Such beautiful valleys and waterfalls (oh and the food). -Henry

Sri Lanka has a lot to offer, we only made one night in Colombo, but will come back for a tour some day. Excited to know what next for you guys

@@flyingthenest I'm spending the night in Negombo (since I land at 4am) and then was planning Unawatuna, Tangalle, Mirissa, Ella, Kandy, Dambulla, and then Negombo/Colombo. But I'm super flexible and open to adventure and opportunity.

4:44 Yala park is full of dust in dry periods. It will be worst if you travel in dry period(no muddy rides,no green plants,too hot and can't see much animals in noon).Morning and evening is the best time for travel in Yala

@@flyingthenest It is said that King Ravana (King of Sri Lanka many many years ago) kidnapped Sita and hid her in a cave behind the falls. Its from a Hindu narrative called Ramayana (many claims saying the story did occur in real life). Sita is a avatar of Goddess Lakshmi, and Rama who is Sita's husband, whose avatar is Lord Vishnu. To summarize part of the story, King Ravana fell in love with Sita and kidnapped her from India and took her back to Sri Lanka and hid her so Lord Rama doesn't find her. But eventually Lord Rama finds her when he reaches Sri Lanka with the help of Lord Hanuman. If you go on google maps or type on google "Adams Bridge" you can see on google maps of a bridge that is not there anymore of course, that connected from India to Sri Lanka, which said to be the bridge Lord Hanuman created so Lord Rama can get Sri Lanka! Not sure if what I said made any sense, but I hope i helped you guys understand parts of the Hindu tale! :D
