Sadhguru on body based relationships: Keep it as simple as possible!

-Physical relationships -is it healthy?
-Your body remembers.
-body is an enormous amount of memory
-What you carry in your brain as memory is minuscule,
what you carry in your body - there is evolutionary memory, genetic memory, karmic memory, articulate and inarticulate levels of memory, there is so much memory.
-body is a repository of tremendous amount of memory
-runanubandha
-When there is a sexual interaction, or intimacy which involves thought, emotion and body, the amount of memory that is left in your system is very big.
- keep the body’s memory as simple as possible.
-If you unconsciously pick up enormous amount of memory it’ll become very difficult to remain peaceful and joyful in your life.
-because there is confusing memories in the system.
-body-based relationships
-if you try to squeeze joy out of somebody, after some time, you find when it doesn’t yield the same results as it used to yield in the beginning, some bitterness will begin.

This made me think about the one time I made out with someone who I later found out had tons of problems and was unfortunately in a really bad place mentally, and it’s no wonder that after we made out I felt like my life force was drained in a very unusual way!! My body felt exhausted!! My mind has been blown!!🤯 and I guess the same works to eating meat!! I am in a living in relationship with my husband we love eachother very much but couldn't get married due to family problem. Now he's married to his parents choice but he is not happy with his wife as he used to remember me during their intimate moments. Actually i don't know that he's married, he kept it a secret from both of us later on his wife found out about our relationship ran away from home and now she is asking for divorce. I don't want to spoil their marriage life. Now she is blaming me for spoiling her life, feeling insecure that i might come back into his life. But he still wants to continue our relationship also. He is telling me that he regretmarrying her. Before his wife knew the truth about us also every time they used to fight at home and this is the third time that she had asked for divorce, he is not happy whenever they get intimate (he told me all these when she left him) I don't know what to do now. And I don't believe that I should be blamed for this problem. Of course I am wrong because he hide the truth from me. I think both of them they have to make effort to shape their relation once again. It hurt me more when he is unhappy. Or what is your opinion? Please help me...

I understand your point of view, if you have those desires it's normal to feel that way. however, I tell you that we also exist asexual people, and we don't feel that longing in our hearts. it all depends on how you feel about relationships. In my culture, we can marry up to 4. That's if the Male can make the sufficient income to run 4 households and have each wife equally cared for. Not many men can do that. Now I am seeking a 2nd Wife myself, and here by mid next year will be making the income to do that, and care for each equally. My motive is not sexual, though, of course there will be that, but as it is now, I am not that sexual, or at least do not express it. The motive is, that both wives are cared for completely, and that i can have child/children of my own biology and seed, which my Wife cannot have due to an operation before we met, and married, 7 years ago. And a whore will not suffice. They must both be very virtuous, and have guarded their selves.

Hmm very true... The worst thing in a relationship is when a partner expects that his partner will perfectly fulfill his or her needs. That kind of a relationship becomes a turmoil for both. So the best thing you can do for your relationships is to became joyful so you do not need anyone and anything for happiness. You are happy in yourself and not trying to extract happiness from others like a vampire... That's not nice. Better to be alone than to be with a vampire who have a lot of expectations from you...

  • @evadebruijn

    @evadebruijn

    3 жыл бұрын

Oh no not turmoil for both. One feeds/gets fed and feels the relationship to be a source of joy and the other gives their personal power away (so no victims here!) and feels the relationship is a source of stress and frustration. The trick is the gaslight that the stress and frustration are the fault of the one giving their power away. In a way, it is. It's when the pressure is up and the giver/feeder really blames themselves and tries to give more and more (it is never enough) that the sh*t really hits the fan. Watch Christina Lopes' video's on empaths and narcissist, she explains perfectly how it works. People think it is psychological, and when dealing with full blown NPD that part is not to be discounted, but in reality it is an interaction of energy. So an empath can actively activate narcissistic tendencies by giving their power away. It is too easy to point to 'vampires' only. It involves both people equally.

  • @Greenawise

Absolutely! This is the point! The best you can ever give to your partner is to be a joyful human being. You cannot give joy if you don't have it. Joy must not be extracted from the other partner whichever way you look at it. Both must share each other's joy.

  • @JoArtHenna

My notes: The body preserves memory of each interaction, so if you have a sexual relationship with one person the body may raise similar responses to similar people. This may cause confusion, because you may not be seeking a sexual relationship with that person. This confusion may also be carried in genetic memory, so that your descendants will be more likely to repeat these same interactions. Now that certain dharmas (ie obligations of identity / chosen life paths) may flourish in such conditions. For example, if sexual expression has been repressed beyond a comfortable point, it might make sense that a person would want to spread a healthy sexual expression to a larger extent. It should also be noted that sexual relationships are only a subset of all potential relationships (ie people can be friends for lots of reasons and do not necessarily need to sex). Also many sexual relationships arise from physical compulsions (ie being horny) and thus risk accumulating unintended karma (such as the aforementioned confusion in your descendants, or otherwise having to deal with the consequences like trying to keep the relationship secret). For these reasons it is usually best to keep one's sexual life as simple as possible by following a good sexual diet, just as one follows a good food diet - ie one followed with intention and a desire for greater awareness. This probably means monogamy for most people - though not necessarily for all people.

The wonderful thing about life is that we get a new chance at reality every morning when we wake up. A ‘choice’ to continue to identify with the our old truth (which is us living in the past), or let go of it and make a new fresh identity (as in living in the present). This often can mean changing our environment and the people in it who constantly remind us because they are too living in the past. This is coming from one who was also abused as a child it was my ‘choice’ to no longer let this define me. Side note: I had to move away from my family and old relationships for this to happen. Then with a new look on life was able to reintegrate some of these people into my life later, once I became centered, and they understood how to respect boundaries.

This world is not fucked up. The version of the world you choose to see is fucked up. If you want good quality friends, you need to embody what you want in them. Stop complaining and not appreciating the ones you have because the law of attraction will give you exactly that. Start thinking about how amazing it would feel to have friends of his kind and feel worthy of them, if you do not do this, nothing will change and your world will still be fucked up.

You should choose the kinda memory you want in your system. The way the person has lived their entire life must be known before even kissing or doing something more intimate. I've always had this inner knowing that it's wrong to even think about someone while touching yourself down there unless there is mutual love n respect. It's tried n tested. Even masturbating to someone's thoughts lets you download some energy from that person via ether n cords you to their chakras n hence their experiences n emotions n demons n entities. Most people don't realize the subtle ways energy works.. Controlling your sexuality for your true love is so very important if you don't want a complicated life. Because this shit is sacred n serious n deep n soulful.

True.. but as long as you say do not want, there is a want in it.. a hidden desire in even not wanting something. You cannot get rid of emotions like you can get rid of objects. Suppression of emotions is a crime.. even if you do it to yourself.. if you are able to get over it naturally then it will work for you. Eg. if you feel like eating and you don't eat and say that you are fasting, you will not be able to sleep, you will not be able to work, you will subconsciously keep thinking about food because you haven't eaten. Everywhere you will see food. Even if you are offered something you usually love to do the most you might get distracted for some time but you will come back to the thought of food. That doesn't help. Suppression is no solution.

so many people unfortunately live this life and maybe that's why there is such a lack of peace in the world and within people as well or lack of true love in relationships. Does Sadhguru speak of how these memories can also be cleansed? So many people both men and women have been married before and carry those memories into the next relationship. So many young people were never taught about the value of their body. It would be important for him to teach how to cleanse these memories as well.
