A never-outdated classic jazz

year ago when tape players were a thing, I had Sade, Diamond life on one side and Grace Jones Island life on the other. Listened to it nearly every day for about 3 years while working by myself at a company that had very few staff so most days were spent alone. They got me through the days. I still no every word to every song. I love that she presents the songs exactly as they were produced on the album. Why change perfection!!!!!!!

She was 51 when singing this live! WOW! Timeless beauty, one in several billion singer. I have never heard a voice as amazing and timeless as hers. She is my favorite singer.

When Sade's "Smooth Operator" was released in the mid 1980's I loved it. I Still do. Sade is a very classy act and her voice is oh-so smooth. Her band is tops at professional musicianship.

@@andysimreviews3143 I don't think that's the case. Stuart has been with the band since day 1 when the 4 of them were in a jazz band and Sade was singing backup. Stuart had written a song and asked her to write lyrics. The rest is history. He's sax and guitarist and is co-writer and producer to all of their songs. When she introduces the band, she calls him her "bestfriend and brother".

Holy smokes !! It's 4:30 in the morning. Getting ready to hit the hay. Saw this link. Hesitated to hit it. Glad I did. So wish I was at this concert. Comments say that they appreciate the performance of the band. They recognize brilliance. I am not a musician. But boy are these people right. They gotta be !! This is a killer performance. This song is one of the all-time arrangements in music history. At least modern history, anyway. Something about it. I recall when it first hit the airwaves. Took the world by storm. Always put a smile on my face. Or at least in my soul. And Sade has lots more where this came from.

Sade always fascinated me. Their music was incredible. And she just came across as so chill, refined. Perfectly dressed, a straight ahead direct beautiful woman, with a beautiful voice. I loved their style of music.

every time I make a comment on youtube I get bagged out but in my opinion Sade rates as top 5 all time female singers and top 3 alltime to look at. for more than 30 years she's been a star

Too much perfection for a live performance. It doesn't seem real. Everything is flawless: Sade's voice and elegance, the guitar, the sax, the visuals,...Amazing. You can see that Sade's team focuses more on quality than quantity. Less concerts but unforgetable.

This will always be one of my favorite songs.

The song fell into my mind and can't leave. She started creeping. Before bowing to the Guitarist, She looked mysteriously with this, her unique smile. After that, She wasn't scared to bow to the Guitarist. Distance to herself. Then she started that her simple dance and come back to the singing - smooth with a small hoarseness. And this saxophone background. As if the dialogue between her singing and playing the saxophone. Sophisticated, great, gorgeous, astonishing, breathtaking, I have no words.

This tour was amazing to see live. I had never seen such a rapport between audience and singer. Everyone was enthralled by Sade’s presence. It’s like we were all hypnotized.

I saw this performance in Dallas 2011! Unforgettable performance! L❤ve Sade!

Sade and the entire band are just from another planet. I was always fascinated of her. I also love the fact that she produces music only when she feels she has something to say. Hope she does it soon again so I can get to experience that Magic life.
