This scene broke my heart. Readers know the full story. Spoiler alert. The little guy was a sick prince who looked up to his father. This father on the other hand was a pedophile and a womanizer. The particular scene was scripted by the main characters to make the little prince understand his father's true nature. The father wasn't even sad about the kid's death. He was upset that one of his boy toys, whom he was torturing, died as he could stop the mutt who was doing so because of the disturbance. That's pretty much the entire plot of the scene. I think I missed a few points but that's the gist of it.

The little prince's name is Dandelion Goldenleonard hence why he was laid on a bed of dandelions. The flowers aren't the cause of death, he saw a very inhumane scene being done by his tyrannical father of a king and fell from the 4th floor of the castle.

If ya'll scared it ends in tragedy, it doesn't. This bit of sadness is worth the whole plot.

Manh i couldn't recover from this for a long time and how it breaks my heart even more how the father he adored said something along the lines of 'what a waste' as if he looked at him that way and again how his most loyal friend risked his life to take revenge by attempting assassination but was executed.
