Emilliano truly deserved better woman than Ines.She was selfish and didn't think of the consequences of her actions on him,she was even annoyed during their snu and wasn't listening to him and just focused on his face, the reason why she chose to seduce him. No wonder she couldn't even remember his name despite him telling her not to forget his name since she's desperate to escape from Oscar. This is the only complain I have in the story, Author should have just made Emilliano a good friend of Ines who helped her escape instead of dragging him to marry Ines when she was never truly happy or loved him.😔

She used him in the VERY beginning but quickly fell in love with him and she sold everything she could so that they could have money. She admits several times to loving him. And she never forgot his name she thinks about him and their child practically every chapter and wants to make sure they never meet so that he can have a better future with a nice wife and kids

No one knows how hurt ines after how many regression she went through, the way ines keeps flinching when someone says emiliano's name. It's too much. 🥺

Her backstory is sympathetic, but she is in no way innocent. Girl technically groomed Carzel into being a playboy and also technically forced herself onto Emiliano and is just lucky that there is some sort of dubious consent.

@@z_.5557 On point! I don't understand this sympathy towards Ines. Yes she's suffered so much in all her lives. But she's also done so many unspeakable things. She groomed 6 year old carcel and turned him into a cheater (which she starts regretting horribly later on). She seduced Emiliano and used him as her scapegoat to escape Oscar. Emiliano got entangled in her mess and ended up getting killed. The only reason Ines flinches whenever Emiliano is mentioned is because she feels guilty for his death not because she loves him or something. The author confirmed this.

It isn't that angst only the flashbacks of past lives served as angst, people are just hyping it making reels, videos of a few panel shown in the manhwa.The story is somewhat very slow paced focusing mainly on the daily mundane lifes and romance of Ml and Fl but manhwa chop off all important parts and focusing only on tragedy which isn't much even in the novel.

You hate Luciano? You gotta be joking. Neither Luciano nor her family wanted this. It was actually Oscar (the crown prince), who's obsessed with Ines, that had her family drag her back home. While Emiliano fans are always blaming Luciano & the Valeztena family, Ines herself accepted that she was the one who put her family through trouble. She never explained anything to them. She was the one who chose Oscar. She was the one who used to say “My Oscar” this and that just a few months before until her regressed consciousness awoke again in her 16 year old self. Her father would do anything for her so I don't understand why she didn’t cry and plead with all her heart to her father. The Valeztena's care about family first. They even believe in bloody revenge. I mean, Luciano literally planned a rebellion with Carcel's help, tortured Oscar and placed the illegitimate Prince on the throne to avenge Ines's death in the second life. Do you think that sort of a brother would ignore her if she asked for help? If she reached out to her family, her father would have put her first and found a way to stop her from marrying Oscar. However, Ines completely disregarded them and then created a situation where their family sinned first and therefore they lost any justification to go against the imperial family. We know in the first timeline, her mother killed the crown princess as revenge, and her father destroyed the crown princess’s family. What couldn’t the Valeztenas do for their only daughter? So don't blame Luiano or her family. Plus, Luciano was someone who couldn't have killed Emiliano and Luca (her baby) because Ines loved them. Luciano would never touch what she loved no matter how much he hated it because he loved his sister so much. The only reason he got involved in hunting them down and getting rid of Emiliano is because Oscar (the crown prince) threatened to hurt her. As for her father, he wouldn't have hurt someone with the same blood as him so he wouldn't have ordered Luca (her baby) to be killed. In a nutshell, they had no choice. And for that alone, she forgave them because she came to understand WHY they did it. Once she realised it was all to protect her, she couldn't blame them anymore. She forgave them. This part isn't even the issue. The issue is that the manhwa didn't show that Ines had just met Emiliano the day when she seduced him. I was rereading that chapter, and I can see why people kept misunderstanding that Ines might've loved Emiliano before because the beginning of the chapter was just the maids gossiping about how Ines might love the painter's assistant. The manhwa does not show that she just met him, fell for his face (which she described as "prettier than a woman's") and decided to use him to run away from Oscar. Because of how the chapter started out, it failed to address that Ines initially loved Oscar before. It would be odd of the servants to even comment that Ines loves Emiliano because everyone in the kingdom, including her family, knew she loved Oscar. She just met Emiliano. Basically, this whole Ines' POV was poorly adapted and caused so much confusion. Not only did they cut out the fact that she had just met Emiliano, but they also cut out everything that happened after she killed her child. They shifted the scene of Luciano, to a more recent event and even changed her feelings in that scene. In the novel, her thoughts on Luciano are more complicated than that. It was clear she didn't want to hate Luciano, so she brainwashed herself that Luciano didn't kill Emiliano just as she didn't kill her own child. This will link to future events when she does have dreams of Luciano and want to mend her relationship with her brother. The novel was clear in showing that there was a time her family loved her, and she loved her family. Also the manhwa cut out parts where Ines met Oscar on her own when she was young, making Oscar seem more irrelevant than Emiliano in the manhwa. You see people hating Carcel and her family, but the real villain here is Oscar, yet no one is bringing him up.

Oscar feels inferior to Carcel. So much of what he does stems from that inferiority. The bastard didn't like how Carcel was happily married so he wanted to possess Ines and ruin the marriage so Carcel would be miserable. Oscar and Alicia is the root of all the evil deeds in this story. Do you even know why Luciano was the one to shoot Emiliano? It's all part of Oscar's plan. Technically he was jealous of the close bond Ines and Luciano shared in all of their lives (yet to be shown in the manhwa). So he used Luciano and Leonal (her dad) to track down Emiliano to created a rift between the siblings. Which of course worked because Ines isnt as close to Luciano in this life compared to her previous lives. Plus when it comes to shooting Emiliano, Luciano was left with no choice. Ines's stupid choice of running away and Oscar's pressure was already pulling the Valeztena family down and down. Their reputation was ruined and the kingdom abandoned them. Plus, the imperial family threatened to hurt Ines since she was previously bethroned to Oscar... I can't include all the details here cz it's long and complicated. Read the novel. Then you'll understand exactly what happened. Plus none of this would've have if Emiliano stopped being stubborn and stayed hidden like carcel instructed him to. But no, that fool had to go back to the port and get shot 🤦‍♀️

He's definitely not the dream husband anyone would want. He couldn't do anything for Ines. They went from inn to inn and had to sell the jewels Ines brought with her to afford expenses. He's not even smart. Whenever he sold the jewels, he'd get scammed and end up selling them for very low prices. What kind of life is that? What kind of husband is that? Emiliano is definitely kind but he's not the brightest. He's rather naive. He acts like a daydreamer who can't function in reality.

@@skp2445 It's going to be long and might bore you out but You must understand the Sad fact is even if the nobility didn't bother them or just say Oscar forgets about Ines, it's still won't work between Ines and Emilliano coz there's fate,supernatural things involved with religious stuff playing too.She can't remember her first life for she didn't sin like other timelines,but it shows in that life God saw both her love for Carcel and Carcel's love for her was true, unconditional and perfect, hence blessed them and gave them chance to fulfill it that's she had to go through multiple timeline for it to come to realization which finally did in this last life for Ines. Ines prayed she'll endure all pains and sufferings for Carcel to get happiness with other women bcoz she feels she isn't worth for Carcel,but we know now She's the one for Carcel, Carcel too prayed, he doesn't mind Ines marrying other man if it gives her happiness because her happiness is all he wanted but if "Ines isn't happy with other man" then let him have another chance with her, for he'll never love or marry woman beside Ines that's what they prayed in first life to the apostle. And this Apostle Anastasio who had this divine power will let her remember first life and the warning he gave to Ines,he warned Ines during her marriage to Emilliano that she's going against God's will and will never lived a happy life but she must go through this life(she prayed she'll endure all pains hence she must go through those 2 tragic lives with Oscar and Emilliano) So it was just a test for her to come to realization that she's not worthless but she's meant to live by Carcel for their love was unconditional which made their prayers fulfilled it and God gave her purgatory having mercy on her, so Emilliano is out of question for Ines no matter what the situation be, part is it was never true love on her side,nor she was happy with Emilliano and he knew it, also it benefited Ines only.There's no healthy balance in their relationship, even the Author confirmed this,so it's never going to change the fact of what's already written or said by the Author!

By then, she didn't even know his name. She barged into the art room butt naked in the middle of the night and forced herself on him. Plus, his face was the sole reason she choose him.

He loved her for her self, and not anything else. That's what made it the sadie's. The author brought that out in just those few pages. Great job Author, great job.

I was shocked too when she criticised Emiliano's state of living when they got together and how it was so hard to live with no proper source of income, but it was mostly just that and the fact that she really didn't genuinely love him was also a point. However, she did mention how she breathed more freely, emotionally, than she was in the capital. How it also greatly helped her slightly forget her trauma from oscar was also one of the key points in her "color in my black and white world". Besides, Ines was already kinda toxic with how she was brought up from her 2nd life as the Queen and with how she wanted to be the center of society. That's what it seemed to me based on the progress in manhwa, so I kinda expected her blunt attitude on the things that happened in her past lives. It was indeed true that it was hard living solely dependent on Emiliano's arts, and the fact that both of them were hopeless romantics in the 3rd life. She completely realized it in her current life and seemed to have grown nonchalant about the previous lives, except that she definitely cares for Emiliano and didn't want him to be involved now with her. I was actually kind of disappointed when I read what the others said about how she really didn't love him and just used him. But I just based the above mentioned in the current flow of the manhwa.

So far, the manhwa has only given a very brief glimpse of their marriage life giving a false positive impression of it. To manhwa readers it looks like Ine's was extremely happy and content with her marriage to Emiliano. But that's far from the truth. I hope manhwa shows more details of what really happened and how toxic Ines was towards Emiliano. Yes, Emiliano did help her overcome the trauma of her second life a bit but it wasn't enough for Ines. The poverty and bad living conditions really got to her. She started missing her old luxurious life. Plus, what others say is true. She didn't really love him. She sorta brainwashed herself to think she loves him. She did like his company and all but its true that she didn't love him. Poor Emiliano. He deserved better.

@@ariellemandara1483 Yeah, I'm seeing it now too. But it just seemed to me as a typical reaction when she was used to her luxurious life. Besides from the start, I really didn't expect Ines to be sympathetic or purely good, because the manhwa already showed her subtle apathetic and toxic attitude. I just got emotional because her experiences were really fucked up, and that line definitely showed an emotional side of her that was rarely shown for her character.

It's sad Emilliano was killed since he never was meant to be killed by Luciano nor he was destined to marry Ines,as it'll always end in tragedy for him even if he sincerely love Ines. Becoz the fact cannot be changed or denied Ines and Carcel were fated that's why they keep on reuniting again and againe to fulfill their prayers made for each other in their first life which finally happened in the last timeline. Ines isn't a reliable narrator, also the reason she suffered 2 tragic lives is again connected to the first timeline b4 dying.(She prayed she'll endure all sufferings to see Carcel live a happy life with other woman,she feels she's not worthy of him, meanwhile Carcel prayed,he doesn't mind even if Ines marries other man if she finds happiness but if "she isn't happy with other man" then let him have one more chance to be with her).So their prayers connecting all timelines evidently showed why all these events happened and why Ines ends up with Carcel again.People need to know why their prayers showed their unconditional love for each other and why they'll always be together. This is why no matter what other shippers say about their bias, it'll never change the fact that Oscar and Emilliano never worked nor will work for Ines as it's obvious now that she didn't truly loved them nor had the best life with them. The Author replied to fans on the relationship between Ines and Emilliano and she replied, it's obviously not 'Love' initially but he was her true comrade for those 4 yrs,though he loved her.She was just a teen whose traumatic experience with Oscar awakened at 16 so she had to desperately escape him the painter was more like a scapegoat without thinking twice, which is selfish on her part since she isn't good as the Author said!

@@yoocrslyn The English translation for the novel is on Tappytoon but it isn't really accurate and detailed.The original Korean version is R-19 and detailed with all side stories completed last year though the "If"story is still ongoing. It's on Ridibooks,the English version is way too slow and translation aren't that accurate.

Yes, I always felt that her life with Emiliano was an escape for her. It wasn't her destined life, it was just an illusion, she wanted a simple life but in the end her past and destiny came back for her. And she suffered until she finally found the right path to her final destination.

Manhwas like these leave such a bittersweet feeling man… like even though in the present timeline we know who the real ml is but we can’t deny that there could’ve also been a genuinely good future with her and the other ml 😭

Emiliano was never the 'other ML'. Also, you think too simply. You'll probably get a shock if you find out Emiliano told Carcel that neither him nor Ines can stand even a day in each other’s company because of the past and the fact that she killed their child. Hmmm...somehow you and other manhwa would probably turn that into something romantic though.

Yes , it breaks my heart till now when this scene comes...But when she was with Emiliano, her heart was open... Carcel healed her trauma ,trust issues and depression with his love...Which Emiliano didn't...And Carles even helped Emiliano . Well, I have my reason to love both of them. And she herself realised she loved Emiliano for their child(in the novel), not that she love him first and then had a child with her love.

Well to me emiliano is like a soft breeze before the storm. Sure, ines was happy but they never meant to be, it was just a short encounter before the everything went downhill. Carcel is the best boi. He loved her in every, EVERY timeline. Also let her go with emiliano and wanted her to be happy. He already waited for her for 2 timeline and she's finally his, again.

In the novel. The manwha did it badly She literally force herself on him. She doesn't even know his name on the first night. She goes to the art room naked basically raped him. She brainwash herself to think that she is happy. It was confirmed by the author himself that she refuse to meet him again out of guilt and not love.

I’m literally crying because this timeline is the only one where she was truly happy and in the same time she can’t do it again because she knows that her love will be dead in the end, so she just have only one choice - to be alone, to not hurt Emiliano and to never feel that happiness again. I’m really hoping that Carsel will make her happy at the end, but for me Emiliano will be the first and the precious one forever ❤

This timeline is not the only one, the first timeline was the best, this timeline was not the worst but also not that good, she didn't loved Emiliano, she manipulated herself into thinking that she loved him, and manipulated herself into thinking that she was happy, but she wasn't happy nor was she in love, she forced herself on him, there is no way that this is a good timeline, the first timeline was the best of all, and the only timeline in which she was really happy, she and carsel loved eachother, they were both happy, but Ines had a weak body and poor health because of which she died while carsel died on the battlefield, before dying they both made a wish/promise because of which Ines keeps on coming back to the past because the wish still haven't been fulfilled, they wished for each other's happiness and their happiness is with each other that's why whenever she chooses someone other than carsel she gets a bad ending because she will only be happy with carsel.

Carsel loved her in every timeline, helped her and cared about her more than anyone but she doesn't see it because for her carsel is a Playboy and a cheater (he isn't a cheater or a Playboy, it was only a rumour, he only loved ines.)

I love Carcel so much but I wish there was a way for her to be with Emiliano again just so they could live happily. Their story was way too touching to end in such tragedy because of her family

These 2 really were just going from inn to inn, no proper shelter, no money (not a good environment to raise a child in). If Carcel didn't help, they would have been found much earlier. It was like 2 teens eloping. No plan, no money, no stability. It was bound to fail.

That's a reason why i love second male lead.

True bestie,Truth is truth opinions and ships doesn't matter when it's clearly written in the story Carcel and Ines were perfect and each other's true love and the best part the Author confirmed that it was never love for Ines with Emilliano though she deluded herself at initial part Author-nim said both Carcel and Ines were imperfect yet found perfection from each other!☺️I do kinda feel bad for the other shippers bcoz their wishes ain't never happening also whether they care or keep on saying Emilliano is best for them, the story and the Author's words doesn't change the FACT that Carcel x Ines are best of all!

@@Nana-vt8qp nah i don't feel bad for the other shippers (the people who ship them, not the ships in the manhwa) bc whenever they have the chance they try to say a lot of crap about Cárcel, not knowing or caring (when they know) about his past, just saying that he doesn't deserve Inés 😵‍💫 but yes, Cárcel x Inés is indeed the best ship and they were made for each other, plus imagine having a man who loves you for 4 timelines? that's such a win fr 😞 and yep, it was never love between Inés x Emiliano, she was just trying to escape from her life with the shitty prince, got pregnant with Emiliano but i guess it was just her trying to live on (tho i think she cared deeply for the baby, as she lost all her babies due to that crown prince's std)

So in the end Truth matters as it's clearly written in the story where both Carcel and Ines love is the best and most perfect couple,which is even confirmed by the Author but there's nothing on Emilliano since he's not that important even in the story😂,so they can scream and cry sad tears and attack Carcel and it's shippers,coz they don't matter what's written already in the story can never be changed!☺️ Ines said she learned love only becoz of the baby she had with Emilliano which is abit weird after spending 4 years with him. It's understandable why she was viewing with rose tinted glass in initial part when she compared Emilliano with the trash Prince, afterall she's traumatized suddenly with the memory she had with Oscar that came rushing at 16 and so she had to rush things and deluded herself as if she's truly in love and happy in order to escape Oscar, when in truth she misses her family, brother and luxurious lifestyle. She easily gave in to whoever gave her kindness unlike Carcel where he had to break the walls she created. She isn't a reliable narrator and it showed when Emilliano meets Carcel,she wasn't truly happy with him and was suffering painful seizures everyday where Emilliano couldn't even heal her nor change her or protect her physically. Oh he turned out to be dumb and weak with only pretty face and being kind😂no wonder Ines called him a stupid fool for being slow and dumb. Meanwhile Carcel changed and healed her of her traumas showed a big differences compared to the other 2 husbands. No wonder their prayers got fulfilled showed Carcel and Ines love was true and perfect that God who sees the future blessed and gave them chance.

@@ariellemandara1483 tbh, the second lifetime was more heartbreaking for me, i had to take a lot of breaks and had to fight the urge to throw my phone out of the window, i cried so many times while reading, the first life time was still way better than the second, but i couldn't stop crying at the end of the first lifetime.

I'm so confust, I don't know which one to fall in love, the blonde and emiliano or whereever his name is are both great but like b*tchhhhhh her past live with him was sooo sad but I fell bad for the blonde because she loved emiliano so much😔 I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DOOOO I just love them both but at the same time I have this thing in me where I from the star like the ml because I know that he is the end game and if I star to like the second ml I will cry so I fell like I like the blonde more but EMILLOANOOOO (Not a english speaker)

but actually the blonde one is her first husband, they got married in her first timeline, he loved her so much, and they will recall it in the future, idk who's the one who remember it first. But in the chapter 0 Carcel said "I will be forever standing here waiting for you. I hope that this time you will love me too, just as I've always loved you."

For just clarification, I am not novel reader in this story so I'm sorry for what I'm commenting But.... Her previous Timeline before emilliano is justified to be a manipulator person. Her previous life before emiliano doesn't make her wiser and that is a reality, No one said she is a innocent person, and Her previous life before emiliano are not just mere sympathy and sad..... It is a horrible experience that give traumatic experience and she couldn't think wisely. I think some of readers think that if the Main Lead or FL has a traumatic experience, they think they would be more rational and wiser..... No I'm telling yah... It's more complicated to think if we are living in fear, hurt, suffering and depression. Being manipulator to emiliano is bad, of course... But i understand WHY, not just because she's afraid to red dckhead. It's her complicated mindset because of suffering. Being groomer to ML is Bad, another of course and I understand her ways to use him and groom him. After all, SHE DON'T TRUST HIM!..... She doesn't want ANOTHER MAN to die because of her foolishness... As we read, Her reasoning to groom and manipulate him because She can leave and FINALLY TO BE FREE. You see, Those people experience horrible past....They just want to be free. Another proof is her timeline with oscar, She killed herself NOT KNOWING SHE WILL COMEBACK... She remembers him. She has memories of her second and third life. If you've read the recent chapters you'd know that she's also sponsoring Emiliano (cz he's an orphan) in this lifetime so that he has the financial means to pursue art. That's one way she's using to ease her guilt of causing his death.

I don’t know why everyone’s saying she didn’t love Emiliano. She didn’t at the start, but she falls in love with his kindness , and she says their love was strong.

Emiliano was nothing but a means to an end, a brief respite if you will, from the traumatic life she had with Oscar there was no love involved she never loved him, and she was feeling guilty about him that she used him to escape and got him killed and her baby she was dirt poor, and on the run, she was also miserable in that life too.

very sad manga this woman has already been reincarnated for the 2nd time. In her first life, she married a certain prince who loved her but actually cheated on her with others and probably killed their child, I don't remember.the second time so she preferred to choose someone else she fell in love with an ordinary boy they were together and pregnant with him an angry prince who wanted to possess her. killed her beloved desperate woman to save herself and the baby she died. now she has her third life and is with someone she doesn't love, as long as the evil prince doesn't possess her

well i feel like this one isn't as bad as other stories with that kind of trope mostly because technically the ml didn't ruin her past life. it was the other guy. *if you don't mind spoilers* basically the story is not their first or even second lives. it was very convoluted but the fl & ml were actually in love but they never got their happy ending together in the first life cuz of the prince. the fl only remembers the second life but not the first life she shared with ml whereas the ml doesn't remember any past lives. the prince remembers all 3 i think. so really it kinda isn't as bad as other stories where the ml actually was terrible in the past life

Blonde was never a real player in his second life, again with the prince forcing Blonde to live a certain way so he can have female lead. In the second life life, Blonde always liked FL but prince strolled in first with the memories of the first life to ruin everything

The author was worried about this. The novel makes it known that Ines Is just as "bad" as Carcel. I know the artist is trying her best because this is her favorite book but still. I scream every time somebody shares an opinion about it that is based on a misunderstanding whats going on .

The comment section is shipping them but their love were not realistic... Spoiler Alert* Yea, I think Emiliano is a nice guy. But, like Carcel pointed out to him, if he never wanted to meet Inez again, why did he leave the pendant behind like that. And in every case where Emiliano left these things, it backfired on Ines. The pendant almost killed her because the doctor told Carcel that she would have died if he hadn’t found her passing out from hyperventilating. Then the paintings could have turned into a scandal at the gallery. Suppose Inez’s husband wasn’t Carcel and the revelation of this suspicion drove a wedge in her current marriage. I just don’t understand saying one thing and doing another. I do understand that he may have longing and curiosity but then don’t be wishy washy about it. Still, that isn’t to say he’s not a good guy. I always have to add this because sometimes readers think a criticism against someone means he isn’t a good person. Like I sure can criticize Carcel for the way he treated that Jose Iglesias guy by throwing his uniform coat away. That was rude considering Inez did accept the jacket without a firm refusal. Go read the novel, you will know...I do love Emiliano, but Carcel is far more realistic in some sense.
