Their world gets destroyed figuratively and literally and he goes off to train so he can seek vengeance for those that need avenging while she gets put in a convent. Then you don't see her for like 40 chapters until this (most recent as of this comment) so the romantic manwha tropes you are obnoxiously requesting are 100% absent thus far. It's like a solid 7.5/10 manwha thus far for me and would be like a 9/10 if his power-up didnt seem to just occur out of nowhere and was more earned.

@@GDITH there are several reasons why he came back the first one is he went back to the bar and save her because she is one of has family members and then before he left the bar he cleaned out everybody there were only two people left him and her and also he went into berserk mode before he knew it he also clean this other place and also like you said he visited the prison to help one of the many people that helped him to get to where he is now but he still has a Long way go and we finally made it to the part where everyone will be slowly coming back together

But MC still chose his childhood friend, the girl in the video. And he only ever treated the other woman as friend and superior (never considered her as a love interest). I actually cried at this. I don’t know if they have love interest with each other but they are family not connected with blood. The girl once tried to sell her hair in exchange for the sword Vlad is currently carrying. Best thing is Vlad not only keep his promise to take her back. He also saved the woman who is like a guardian to them and an enemy guy who once helped him and this girl to escape. He never forgets kindness.

Strictly speaking it was more class discrimination since she was from a slum and was gotten a place their by a brothel owner and apart from embaressment, not really. On the flip side, the only reason she survived was because they gave her sanctuary which is also why she had to put up with the treatment. He isn't really in a position to do much to the Monestary and he is actually on pretty good terms with the church in general. His first patron was a priest.

The plot is pretty classic not too over the top writing just right but what makes this good is that despite being a common story is that it has so much depth in it that you can't help but be absorbed in the storytelling. Nah he never forgot what happened. He just wanted to get stronger before going back. You should see what he does before going to get her to bring her home. IT'S EPIC! My dude is an ABSOLUTE MENACE! Hahaha! Also to be fair. He found out pretty early on that she's in the convent. So he thought she was doing good. Because you know... churches are supposed to be good and shit... So he wanted to take care of his other issues before picking her up to go back home.

honestly this manhwa is underrated, i see more people posting videos and stuff about basic murim manhwas where mc who was the big bad demon lord is reincarnated into the body of some kid in the future and cultivates qi and has to compete with their brothers or some shit. This manhwa is literally so well executed, the premise itself isn’t that unique but the way it’s executed is what makes it so interesting. I feel as if I’m actually watching a genius’ journey and how they lived. A real character.

Their world gets destroyed figuratively and literally and he goes off to train so he can seek vengeance for those that need avenging while she gets put in a convent. Then you don't see her for like 40 chapters until this (most recent as of this comment) so the romantic manwha tropes you are obnoxiously requesting are 100% absent thus far. It's like a solid 7.5/10 manwha thus far for me and would be like a 9/10 if his power-up didnt seem to just occur out of nowhere and was more earned.

@@GDITH there are several reasons why he came back the first one is he went back to the bar and save her because she is one of has family members and then before he left the bar he cleaned out everybody there were only two people left him and her and also he went into berserk mode before he knew it he also clean this other place and also like you said he visited the prison to help one of the many people that helped him to get to where he is now but he still has a Long way go and we finally made it to the part where everyone will be slowly coming back together

But MC still chose his childhood friend, the girl in the video. And he only ever treated the other woman as friend and superior (never considered her as a love interest). I actually cried at this. I don’t know if they have love interest with each other but they are family not connected with blood. The girl once tried to sell her hair in exchange for the sword Vlad is currently carrying. Best thing is Vlad not only keep his promise to take her back. He also saved the woman who is like a guardian to them and an enemy guy who once helped him and this girl to escape. He never forgets kindness.

Strictly speaking it was more class discrimination since she was from a slum and was gotten a place their by a brothel owner and apart from embaressment, not really. On the flip side, the only reason she survived was because they gave her sanctuary which is also why she had to put up with the treatment. He isn't really in a position to do much to the Monestary and he is actually on pretty good terms with the church in general. His first patron was a priest.

Nah he never forgot what happened. He just wanted to get stronger before going back. You should see what he does before going to get her to bring her home. IT'S EPIC! My dude is an ABSOLUTE MENACE! Hahaha! Also to be fair. He found out pretty early on that she's in the convent. So he thought she was doing good. Because you know... churches are supposed to be good and shit... So he wanted to take care of his other issues before picking her up to go back home.
honestly this manhwa is underrated, i see more people posting videos and stuff about basic murim manhwas where mc who was the big bad demon lord is reincarnated into the body of some kid in the future and cultivates qi and has to compete with their brothers or some shit. This manhwa is literally so well executed, the premise itself isn’t that unique but the way it’s executed is what makes it so interesting. This is my quick findings idk if it ended and is on another platform or if this series is up to date. I know that “My Beloved Oppressor” isn’t currently up to date on their episodes, on the search engine it has more episodes released and I think still being made

Webtoon I wouldn't personally use or recommend. There's also alternative title translations, which can sometimes lead to confusion in finding the most up-to-date releases, especially if the official English release is consistently behind schedule.
