@@aristotlewasnotafanofplato3661 "New terrifying evidence confirms Isaac Kappy’s death was planned," reads the description of a video drawing attention on Facebook. But the video doesn’t deliver on that premise, and instead recycles old, unfounded claims that the late actor was killed by another actor, Tom Hanks, to silence him. "Tom Hanks has basically been the face of the actor’s murder," a digitized narrator says in the video. The Arizona Department of Public Safety told reporters in 2019 that Kappy died that year after jumping off a bridge in the state. An Instagram post published on Kappy’s account before he died said, "Beware the man that has nothing to lose, for he has nothing to protect," a reference to a QAnon conspiracy theory. The post also accused several celebrities of pedophilia, NBC News reported Kappy had previously alleged without evidence on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ radio show that Hanks, among other Hollywood stars, was a pedophile. This claim made Kappy "a minor celebrity in Q-adjacent communities," Slate said. There’s no evidence to support the claim that Hanks, or anyone, murdered Kappy. We rate this post Pants on Fire!

Overrated. The late 90s and early 2000s cast was so much better.
Brilliant comedy and an accurate portrayal of going into one of those stores in New York City back in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s. All refurbished electronics and lot items bought from insurance water and fire damage sales. Also, mongrel names with big-name like appearances. And once you enter the store, a dizzying array of double-talk and price jacking. To even enter was a mistake. But, the window shopping was so enticing, with brightly colored signs and ridiculously low prices. Once purchased, you needed to be an electrician to trouble shoot and make repairs on the damaged re-crated items. When I was 17 I came to Manhattan to buy some speakers. They didn’t work. Tried to return it. Got into a fight, but was outnumbered. They restrained me and through me out, along with their damaged merchandise. Had to eat the loss. Realized I was better off buying from Radio Shack, (a Tandy Company) Sears, or JC Penny. All names that are but nostalgic blips in our collective consciousness.

Are you blind? He’s clearly reading off cue cards every single time he goes to the individual podiums. They generally set up the cue card angles so it looks somewhat natural, but here it’s obvious because he isn’t even looking at the people he is talking to. It’s not a sign of deficiency; that’s how the show has always worked, since they often change lines right up until airtime.
