I met my first first astrology teacher in the early 1970s. She studied with Marc Edmund Jones earlier in her career and introduced me to the Sabian Symbols. In the late ‘70s-early ‘80s I worked with a clairvoyant medium who used the Symbols as interpreted by Dane Rudhyar. As a result I began using them as a personal divination tool, as she taught me. Around 2000 or 2001 I met Sabian astrologer Lynda Hill. Since then I have been using them consistently in my life AND practice. I mean, how dare I not? 😉 The third time’s the charm.

I have not heard of sabien symbols, but I am now excited for the master class!

Several years ago, I was sitting with the book An Astrological Mandala at a café in Stockholm in Södermalm with a talented artist friend. I asked him to say a number between 1 and 360. He immediately said number 172. I looked up the right page in the book and read the Sabian symbol: 172 (Virgo 22) A royal coat of arms enriched with precious stones. He then replied that it quite accurately described the painting he had just completed. He had painted a coat of arms for the stock exchange, with gold flowing down the canvas..

I love the Sabian Symbols! I'm looking at a baby's chart with them and love what they have to say about this little girl's soul's plan for this life. It's stunning to see the "flavor" of the energy of her planets and angles.

Love Cassandra. Its important to remember what Cassandra said about looking at the Sabian Symbol at the degree that's ahead of the natal Degree e.g if your Moon is 8. 45 Libra look at the symbol for 9 degrees Libra. What I have found is that some of your planetary Sabian Symbols can take in themes to do with your 'whole life'. Rather than just look at the Planet look at what that Symbol means to you overall. They can actually cover deeper areas of your Soul Story. Marc

Glad to hear of others applying this method in practice. I have yet to explore it much with my few as yet dedicated clients. I've long been meditating on the symbols of my own chart and it continues to speak volumes of relevant data in my life's holy Quest. Gemini 'bankrupt mockngbird' blends the two symbols of my Dragon Tail with retro Saturn headed back to school from the 'ship changes the flag' where some of my ancestors lowered the Union Jack to raise a Jolly Roger more than a time or three. Thus a change afoot in my life since especially my beginnings of spiritual awakening, 1992. That Saturn ruling all the things I have in Capricorn and Aquarius, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter means that the stuff my family put in me is only the prima materia, the first matter that my life's alchemy transmutes into the gold of my true path. The toys in my children's hospital are infused with the Sun, who has the Lilith, Eros asteroid, Juno asteroid on the Union Jack degree, the flag their ship flew when they landed in the western Pacific ports of what would later be Oregon. The star Vega in the Harp Of Orpheus shines to the North of that Capricorn degree thus my toys are musical instruments and sound emitting metal objects like the balls I like to spin in my hands that go 'ding' and have over 30 years training with them and more they have established a relaxed and strong state of my hands which has enabled me to continue to improve my physical health and accuracy in flow by following the flag changes of that Mother Goose Saturn where books led me to ideas that opened the way to meeting different people that showed me the methods of natural healing most effective for at least guys like me who have Venus ruling ascendant in the evening star, lover phase and are not allowed to be fighters in this life, especially with our generation's Libra Pluto Uranus rising. I started out with all the normal things in modern society and had I stayed on that path I'd not be here to share my story. It's the Chinese martial arts and medicine, the western mystery tradition, nutrition, incremental strength and cardio training that enabled me to survive as the first bard to make it to Chiron return in my ancestor's streams since before the printing press overcharged our noggins and made us think that thinking is all there is to it. North Node is that still mighty bridge, the Golden Dawn method infused with my life's studies in other realms such as the Chinese maps of the human energy system and some of their ancient methods to train health and resonant resilience that lasts until our dying breath if we keep doing the things proper to our phase in life. 50 isn't even sort of old with this gift in my life.

Who were the sabians?

I guess astrology hub no longer cares about getting views with these ongoing boring videos. I no longer even click onto them and barely remember to even look to see what astrology hub has to offer. Huge mistake getting rid of Anne. Should have stuck with what worked.
