@@JordonPatrickMears11211988 Well, maybe they're both plastic, but the're build differently (i had sets and they're easily most breakable) to standard 2 wide x long "bricks", which are god tier in terms of hardness. And knees are long running meme, where they are put in light of a indestructible things, besides aforementioned bricks or stalinium.

People: Legos are only for kids. An adult playing with legos is evidence of being an underdeveloped manchild. Sabaton: I beg to differ.

I beg to differ as well. Legos are far too expensive to buy for kids to lose out in the yard. Further evidence is the LUGs, as there are over a thousand Lego User Groups in the U.S. alone and they all have only one rule: you must be 18 or older to join. In fact, Lego was going under in the early 1990s, they salvaged the company by revising their whole corporate strategy. One of the first things they did was stop marketing directly to children, who can't afford Legos anyway. Sales would peak around Christmas and then taper off for the rest of the year, so they essentially did away with their advertising budget except for pushing Legoland, realizing that Kids can't even get there without their parents taking them, which is why all Legoland parks have beer gardens and nice hotels and are surrounded by quality shopping, restaurants and gas stations. They began to diversify for the adult market by increasing development of sets which focus more on modeling, trains, Technix, electronic controls and deeper historical context like cowboys, castles and elaborate pirate ships. They later sealed the deal by getting into bed with highly successful production companies like Lucasfilm, Disney, Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios and effectively achieved an all-ages product in the process. On most sets beyond Duplo, they even took out age-ranges. The box doesn't say ages 5-10 anymore, it says 5+. A $1 share of Lego purchased in 1991-92 is now worth over $1,000,000 (I'm such an idiot, how did I not see that?!). Little kids don't dabble in the stock market, they don't have credit cards and they don't drive to the mall to buy a $400 Lego Death Star. Adults do. Legos remain the most precisely mass-produced product on the planet, with so low a tolerance that no machinist can achieve it by hand, no plastics manufacturer can duplicate it and NASA itself wishes they could make real spaceships out of the stuff. I don't see anything childish about any of that. But what do I know? I'm just an underdeveloped manchild who collects toys...

If you visit the Tank Meseum at Bovington there is a display of how this would have appeared. You are positioned in the trench with a Mk I about to crush you. You may have heard the contemporary expression Panzerschreck, stand in that trench and understand for yourself.

@Tyler Fox yeah, they were bad relative to anything after WW1 but keep in mind the only other vehicles were trucks that were 2 mm thick and planes made of fabric... so I'd say the early tanks were pretty solid

When English tanks first appeared in world war one many german soldiers were confused and terrified how these metal behemoths could withstand fire from machine guns. I guess you could say they were "just built different" I'll see myself out.

@@theguythatlikeslegos7708 That was false, the MK 1s were impervious to all gun-fire during the first battles except artillery, but most broke down due to terrible engine or environment, that was that, until the german troops used different tactics like reversing their bullet in the cartridge to do damage to the armor and introduction of gewehr anti-tank rifle and the K-bullet.

@@jakenshake7998 Since the patents are no longer viable, only copyright remains and that is only for the full creations, not individual pieces (as long as they are reasonably generic). Parts of a set can still be under copyright protection, but is is just a matter of time before copyrigth law is overturned because of the last decades of stupid greed.

This is why Sabaton is the best band in the universe. Awesome music, is about history, and they made a video done all in LEGOs. What more could you want?

@@grizzlyb9984 cavalry perform an entirely different role. Their job is to be a rapid assault unit, deployed to flank the enemy or capture poorly guarded locations. Tanks do none of that. Their job, at least in WWI, is infantry support. They destroy gun installations and provide covering fire with their cannon and machine gun, and disable defenses like mines and barbed wire. Cavalry does none of that. If anything, tanks are more like chariots than cavalry, though chariots are still closer to cavalry than tanks. Edit: now that I think about it, I have figured out what the tank replaces on the battlefield. It's a modern version of a war elephant. A lot cheaper too!

@Bryce Plummer Yeah, I know that in Belgium Germans gassed the town, but still, both sides tried to avoid killing civilians for the sake of killing. In WWII tho, there were three participants who cared a little about noncombatants.

Not LEGO, the company producing this set is called COBI. They are from Poland and fully compatible with LEGO, but they actually are better than LEGO in many ways (no stickers but prints; produce everything in EU while LEGO produces in East Asia for cheap; COBI is still a bit cheaper than LEGO)

This is yet another reason I love Sabaton. Only they would make an official music video using Lego stop motion animation.

I remember when I looked up Attack of The Dead Men and when I saw your song I thought it was some teenagers making some edgy music video but when I watched it I could not stop listening to you guys. I listen to you while I eat, play games, study and do work. Great job and keep up the amazing work!

Btw they have a special submission form on their website specifically for song requests, if you didn't know already - they've said before they do read every submission put through it even if they can't fulfil all requests. Just present your idea, bit of info about the topic etc and they'll at least read it even if they don't do the song. Personally I've put in about "Fighting" Jack Churchill and a friend submitted for the Battleship Yamato.

the Mark IV/V tanks are probably hard to find, Brickmania doesn't make them anymore. the Primo Victoria tank and the Band are made by Cobi and can still be found on Amazon or maybe Ebay, same for the Mark I
