This is way better than the official video. The music isn't drowned out with constant sound effects, and it actually depicts D-Day instead of some random tank battle, imagine that.

@@sergeybalakin9705 почему враньё англосаксы повоевали чутка. Они сделали хитро, дождались конкретного перелома войны в чью сторону и открыли второй фронт. Хотя их за долго до этого просили это сделать. Вот если бы Германия побеждала тогда бы они против СССР открыли второй фронт. Это же ушлëпки редкостные.

Imagine being a normal soldier in the US army, going trough years of training and then doesn't even get a chance to take a single step on the beach before getting mowed down as a background character. RIP to all the brave and young soldiers.

глупо было делать у десантных катеров один прямой выход-спуск. Если бы сделали два боковых выхода-спуска, один слева, другой справа, при этом центральный щит оставался бы на месте, защищая солдат и не позволяя поражать их вдоль корпуса катера, то пулемётчик мог бы скашивать только половину десантирующихся (левую или правую) или вынужден был бы постоянно переносить огонь туда-сюда, что в любом случае уменьшило бы количество погибающих от его огня. А так солдаты стояли прямо вряд, один за другим получая пулю... Печаль. :(((

@@user-rjw4ikl2qo that would cause the craft to take on water. They were opened very close to the shore, most of the time. It would be impractical. On top of that, the purpose of the landing craft is to get as many soldiers out as quickly as possible. Creating two sides would create a bottleneck where only a few could go through at a time because making a large exit on the sides would be a nautical engineering impossibility. All this to say, the landing craft used on Normandy on D-Day with the best that could’ve possibly been used with the technology that they had available.

@@Senriam Десантный корабль наберёт воду только в том случае, если его сделать не герметичным. Два боковых широких выхода гораздо лучше одного узкого переднего (борта шире носовой панели). Не надо принижать способности американских инженеров и кораблестроителей - сделать откидывающиеся в стороны борта герметичными, оставляя носовую панель на месте как щит, было вполне им по силам даже на уровне "морской инженерии" и технологии времён 2-ой мировой войны. Но использовали то, что было создано на скорую руку, и это стоило жизни многим тысячам американских морских пехотинцев, увы и ах.

I have shown this to my 98 year old grandfather who was in the invasion on the 6th of june , his fear is that we have learned nothing from ww2 and that his friends and fellow soldiers died for nothing . With this song i could show him that we will never forget the heroes who did this for us , he really liked the song then he told us for the very first time what he went threw i was shocked because this man kept his mouth shut from 1945 to 2024 he never spoke a word about it but he said it had to be told before he died . The man is even more badass then i realized all my life

2:13 when the 20 mm gun shooting the soldiers on the top of the tank is my favorite scene of the movie.

Жаль что, многие жители СНГ не хотят понять, что каждый американец, британец, француз, канадец, индус, австралиец и т.д погибший в той войне так или иначе облегчил ношу восточного фронта и внес вклад в победу, а про то, что одна Битва за Мидуэй в экономическо-финансовом плане равна курской и даже превосходит ее. Каждая тушенка, каждый самолет, каждый танк, паровоз, станок, бронемашина, вагон, винтовка, снаряд и т.д облегчили ношу советских солдат и приблизи их к взятию Берлина
