You should check out En Livstid I Krig from this perspective to see the passion behind Sabaton's fans. The crowd ends up singing the entire first verse of the song. Its really powerful so see.

Sabaton is singing in their native Swedish and the 3 celloists and the lone drummer make up the Finnish group Apocalyptica, who toured with Sabaton part of the 'Great Tour.' ANY video you all choose to do from this tour is shot this way and it of course gives a performer's perspective and is just so different. Great reaction Suzi and Travis.

The english version is a lot more bombastic and arrogant sounding if you look at the lyrics but its still an amazing song in either language

@@owenwells7692 Yeah the English version makes him sound like a tyrannical alpha male while the Swedish sounds much more royal but dignified. Possibly they did the two versions from two different points of view, like they did with "En Livstid I Krig"?

After Gothenburg biggest crowd was in Prague in 2020. Sabaton is very popular here.

Hi WolfHunterz, This is a concert called the great tour it was the last tour that they did which had to be called off when Covid struck. When they couldn’t perform they went back through their songs and re-edited it they do have camera crew on stage with them generally, they called this the great Saturday released 8 pm Swedish time so far they have 24 songs in the great Saturday all of which you can see the crowd from the stage. They also had such bands as amaranth and Apocalyptica playing with them in certain songs; Apocalyptica is in this song they are the ones with the cellos.

When I saw them open for Nightwish a few years ago in Silver Spring, MD, Marco was the passenger in the tank lol :D

A nice tidbit of information is that the coats they are wearing are part of the uniforms that the Carolean soldiers was wearing which was serving under the Carolus Rex (King Charles XII of Sweden during the early 18th century), the one this song is all about.

This song - sabaton - en livstid i krig (live - the great tour - gothenburg) is insane!

I WAS THERE! It was epic to sing along with them

The cellists are the Finnish group Apocalyptica; they toured together beginning this year with Sabaton in The Great Tour, to promote Sabaton’s most recent album The Great War. Unfortunately the tour had to stop due to the Corona outbreak. I was fortunate enough to see this show before the Corona forced them to stop touring. If you want to get to know their personalities a bit better, then watch their tour vlogs, they are great, you get to see some nice behind the scenes material and these guys have great sense of humour! Btw the drummer is Floor’s husband Hannes van Dahl! 😉🤘

Love that you're reacting to this swedish version, as the lyrics are so much more flowing. Do not take me wrong, the english one is also good, but swedish is after all their mother tounge. The entire album is awsome as a concept describing the rise and fall of Sweden as a regional superpower.

I would recommend watching them live, its an insane experience. I myself saw them live in Copenhagen earlier this year and i will be watching them in Sweden in the start of next year.

The difference with Sabaton in comparison to other bands, is that the pyro that they are using for ONE song, is what most bands use for their entire performance throughout the entire hour or more!

If you really want to do a deep dive on their music they also have the Sabaton history channel. They cover the history of the songs that they’ve written. Very interesting.

Sabaton has their own metal-festival, they brought Babymetal to Sweden to that festival before they got internationally known. If you are good musicians getting to share a stage with Sabaton is not that far fetched.

Hej guys! I was at that concertin Stockholm - it was mindblowing! -and there was indeed a camera man up there with them, recording the whole show. They also livestreamed every show here on youtube, which was equally amazing! From this show, their Great Tour in general, there is not one bad song. and they are all from this perspective! En livstid i krig comes to mind for another reaction (if you haven't yet). It is amazing! :)

Great reaction and to have them and Apocalyptica (Cellos and percussionist) playing with them is just amazing. Learn more history from Sabaton than any history book (LOL)!!! What a view, now I see why performers are so pumped in front of a crowd those shots were just adrenaline pumping and the tank and pyros, never let it be said that Sabaton doesn't put on a show. There is an English version of this song, oh and that was Mr. Floor Jansen (LOL) on the drums mounted on the tank! My only disappointment was that the tank didn't fire at some point during the song!!!!

Should defiantly do the official English version as well - not to mention some songs by Apocalyptica (the cellists and drummer) as they are awesome.

They have their own festival in their hometown Falun, Sabaton Open Air when fans through whole Europe comes to help out as crews.

If you like history and great music, then Sabaton is the band to listen to. An amazing band! Here are some epic songs i can recommend. Just to name a few :D Carolus Rex my favorite one, especially the swedish version. Attack Of The Dead Men, Night Witches, Coat Of Arms, Ghost Division, Primo Victoria, To Hell And Back, Bismarck, Fields Of Verdun, Seven Pillarr Of Wisdom, Winged Hussars, The Last Stand, The Red Baron, 82nd All The Way, Screaming Eagle, The Lost Battalion, The Lion From The North, Great War, Uprising live (woodstock ), The Final Solution. Just to mention some songs:D Sabaton is fucking awesome. My favorite band together with Rammstein. :D
