Sometimes when you go to see a live show there's an opening band that you've never heard of before. When I saw Iced Earth that band was Sabaton, so my discovery of Sabaton was from seeing them perform live. One of the best bands out there if you need to listen to something to get in the mood to go to war.

Haven't listened to Sabaton in ages, might revisit some of their albums soon. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed The Last Stand and Carolus Rex

Other than a couple reaction videos a while ago, I had never heard a Sabaton album until th new album came out. I think the War to End All Wars is amazing and I'm excited to go back through their discography and discover the rest.

Honestly Attero Dorminatus is one of my favorites, it has a much more dark feel and covers some of the more messed up events that people don’t usually talk about. Things like the nuclear bombings, rise of the nsdp, and Yugoslav war genocides.

Sabaton has the Re-Armed Albums. I guess Questy can say Re-Ranking the Albums....... 10: Metallizer 9: Attero Dominatus 8: The War to end all Wars (Getting used to this Album) 7: Coat of Arms 6: Primo Victoria 5: The Great War 4: The Last Stand 3: Carolus Rex 2: The Art of War 1: Heroes I saw these guys open for Judas Priest back in September, and Damn were they Good.

Heroes at last!?! I mean music is subjective of course, but... To Hell and Back, Night Witches, Resist and Bite, No Bullets Fly, Screaming Eagles, Inmate 4859, Soldier of 3 Armies and Hearts of Iron are all top-notch. I first just wanted to list a couple of songs, the best ones and then realized all of them are the best. Cannot wrap my head around that placement. Would be interested in hearing why you put it so low

Sabaton is one of those bands that’s so hard to rank, because I could pick four or five albums to put at the top and I think any of those would be equally valid. I haven’t listened to their first few albums as much, but they probably have one of the most consistent discographies I’ve ever heard. 10. Metalizer - Just haven’t listened to it much, and my favorite song (7734) was done better as a bonus track on Heroes. It’s good, just not great. 9. Attero Dominatus - Basically the same as Metalizer, except a bit better. The title track and Metal Crue are two of my favorites. 8. Primo Victoria - Again, not one I’ve listened to a whole lot, but still good. Primo Victoria is great (although I do prefer the live version-it’s got more energy), and I love Panzer Battalion as well. 7. Coat of Arms - This one’s got a lot of great songs, but it’s one of the more “meh” albums overall for me. Not one of the best, not one of the worst. It’s always felt sort of in the middle in terms of their discography. 6. The Last Stand - This was my first Sabaton album, so it’s always gonna be special to me. Sort of the same deal as Coat of Arms, where it’s got some standouts but is otherwise not as memorable to me. I don’t really go back to it much nowadays. 5. The War to End All Wars - I’ll have to wait and see how this holds up over time, but it is a great album. I agree with you about the singles being the standouts, particularly Christmas Truce (one of their absolute best songs, period) and Soldier of Heaven. Otherwise it’s still great, but there’s not a lot I see myself really returning to. 4. The Art of War - This is the point where everything here onward could be #1. Lots of classics for the band, and I love basically every song. 3. Heroes - I hate not putting this at the top. Lots of favorites on this one. I think it’s probably the best album to check out for first time listeners as well. It sort of exemplifies the Sabaton sound the best out of any album. 2. Carolus Rex - This one isn’t as consistently amazing for me, but I love it a lot. Probably the best album to listen to all at once for me. And it’s got A Lifetime of War, which is super underrated and is possibly my favorite Sabaton song. 1. The Great War - Sort of the opposite as Carolus Rex-while that’s a better overall listening experience, this one has the best collection of individual songs. Love it.

I love the great war. I have probably listened to it 40 times or more

"Carolus Rex" isn't just my favourite Sabaton album, its honestly one of my favourite power metal albums ever. And this is coming from a guy who, for the most part, does not give a fuck about power metal lmao.

Elitists hate them so that in itself is a good reason to listen to them!

For me personally it would be: 1. Great War 2. The Last Stand 3. The War To End All Wars 4. The Art Of War 5. Heroes 6. Primo Victoria 7. Coat Of Arms 8. Carolus Rex (easily the most overrated Sabaton album, don't @ me) 9. Attero Dominatus 10. Metalizer But none of them are actually bad in the slightest, Sabaton's entire discography slaps.

10 - Metalizer 9 - Primo Victoria ( A lot of filler ) 8 - Attero Dominatus 7 - Carolus Rex ( haven't listened to it very much ) 6 - Coat of Arms 5 - The Art of War ( probably a few songs I need to give a shot ) 4 - The Last Stand ( Has some of the Greatest and Worst Sabaton songs I've ever heard ) 3 - The War to End all Wars ( The Unkillable Soldier and Lady of the Dark kinda Cringe me out but there so many good songs off that album ) 2 - The Great War ( all songs are decent at worst and amazing at best ) 1 - Heroes ( So many classic Sabaton songs off this one )

Agree with the Primo Victoria and War to End All Wars statements 🤝. Lady of the Dark and Unkillable soldier are out of the fast songs the most boring tbh

i cant be bothered ranking em but i think The Last Stand apart from a few songs is absolutely terrible and has the worst production ive ever heard
