The actress dancing here is Divya Bharti. She was one of the best talents we lost at an early age 19. In her short span of career she acted in 21 films, and many others which weren't completed at the time of her death. She died on 5th April, 1993, leaving thousand of people in shock and with unforgettable memories to cherish. This song was one of the most popular songs for decades, and she was just 17 or 18 during it's shooting.

Speculation he was involved.. but think it was her mother.. greed pure greed she probably sold out her daughter.. alo there was speculation of depression.. who in recent years has suddenly died and depression is blamed when we know they were murdered.

I remember everyone went crazy about Divya Bharati when she newly entered the film industry and gave some blockbuster movies. Over a short span of 3 years (1990 - 1993) she acted in 21 movies (Telugu and Hindi). Unfortunately she died at the young age of 19 (5th April 1993) after falling from the balcony of her apartment in Mumbai. 3 of her movies were released after her death and another 10 movies were in the making at the time of her death. Her death was very controversial, some said it was a murder, some said it was a suicide and some said it was an accident. Till today her death remains a mystery. #GoneTooSoon ❤️❤️❤️

Divya Bharti was most beautiful actress in bollywood industry There hasn't been a day when i haven't heard this song this song is immortal full of grace & charm beautiful divya bharti ♥️

This is the best song ever, it has most beautiful actress Divya Bharti, amazing choreography, great voice of Sadhana Sargam, it has emotions in the lyrics and this is the song which can make anyone dance 🔥🔥

FYI - This video (and the film) were shot in Mombassa, Kenya - hence the African "influences" in the music and visuals. - Divya Bharti was 17 years old when she made her Hindi film debut in 1992 with this release. She had about 12 releases that year. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut (beating out Kajol) but tragically she lost her life just days later in early 1993 aged just 19. Being born in 1974 (the same year as Kajol, Karisma, Aishwarya and all the other new girls) Divya was leading the pack as the first choice for top directors at the time, only after Sridevi and Madhuri.. Her death still remains a "mystery" - if you think Sushant Singh has conspiracy theories, well, if you ever have the time, look her up, it's quite peculiar.

Had Divya still been around post-1993, and even if her popularity was more than what we could imagine, she STILL would absolutely not have impacted on Sridevi or Madhuri's stardom or career. If we look at the facts: Sridevi was right at the end of her successful career-run by '94, - she only had 3-4 releases then 15 year break, so no effect. In Madhuri's case: Hum Aapke Hain Koun (which further cemented her queendom) was already being shot in August 1992. That film would have happened with or without Divya's untimely demise. Post-HAHK, I absolutely do not think Divya (being so young) would have been in contention for the same roles as Mads. In fact Madhuri rejected Divya's debut Deewana as well as Darr - Yash Chopra was going to sign her up. Maybe Divya would have starred together in DTPH in Karisma's role. But in the case of Kajol, Karisma, Tabu, Raveena, Urmila, Manisha, Aishwarya, then I'd say definitely Divya was poised to lead that generation. In fact Kajol + Tabu + Karisma + Raveena were lucky to get the films that Divya left behind. Her stardom was unmatched.

@Meghnaa M And you are? Chief midwife to B-town circa 1971-1977? Well let me serve you some facts too. Most of those girls I mentioned were from film families. When they were born, it was mentioned in the film magazines. There are photos of them throughout their childhood growing up. So it's kind've impossible for them to fake it. Obviously this applies more to Karisma and Kajol and Tabu. There is one chick who has infamously cut off 4-5 years of her age, her daddy was a lesser known director so she gets away with it, but I don't want to mention her name.

@@shivajishilkantham It's true. She had many flops. No Superhits. But that doesn't matter. For actresses, their performance and image matter much more. Sridevi had like 50 flops, Madhuri had many too. Even Kareena, she was flopping so hard for 7 years but all the while she was ascending to the throne. Divya's Laadla and Mohra went on to do very well for her replacements, so mid-94 would've been a turning point for her, after that, who knows..

Divya Bharti - the actress who left lasting effects through her extremely short career and sadly very short life..Lost her life when she was basically just a teenager but her career graph was astounding and the list of films she left unfinished as well.. Mohra, laadla etc.. Although short career but most of her songs are all time favourites.. This song is must for functions and indian baraat's are incomplete without this song.. And songs from deewana (one of my favourite movie ) are just next level..
