@@Karl-Benny What is this comment did you just find anything that you could interpret to your favor? At the end of the day the Gripen while having lots of the EW and sensors it suffers from a lack of low observability. The Gripen does not even that much cheaper and some nations have said it's more expensive (F35 has economic incentives attached tbf). Please talk to any pilot that has flown the F35 or flown against it as I have and there is no debate.

most airshows have models and mockups you can sit in! the canadian armed forces have a booth at the canadian national exhibition every year that has an F-18 hornet cockpit you can sit in!

Center stick is objectively superior. Side stick is the result of successful sales pitches by aerospace companies. It's cheaper and makes ejection seat integration easier. Center stick allows you to fly left handed while writing stuff down (if you are right handed) or doing hand signals to wingman. Grippen is cool, but too small and not enough gas. Good defensive fighter if you are a small European country and you don't need to go very far.

@@EthanThomson It's really hard to fly formation on autopilot, virtually impossible, and you fly formation all the time in fighters. Also most fighters don't have FMS comparable to commercial aircraft. You actually have to hand-fly them a lot. When ATC says "turn left heading 273, descend and maintain 11000, altimeter 2993" you want to be able to answer the call, scribble 273/11K/93 on your kneeboard, turn, descend all pretty much at the same time.

@@fenser OK. The F-16 seat recline is what makes higher G more comfortable, not the stick position. The arm rest on the F-16 can be quite painful if not adjusted correctly. Now tell me about taking notes left handed when you are right handed and then trying to decipher your handwriting after the flight.

​@@DragNetJoe The F-16 holds trim even without auto-pilot, due to its FBW system. Just take the hand off the fucking stick and write whatever you want. There were 4600 F-16 units built. I guess those engineers at LM knew a bit better about fighter jets than you huh

@@nemesis2264 4+ means it has 5th generation avionics and sensors, but is not a low observable (stealth) airframe. The OP was not saying it's a 5th gen fighter but that some of its systems have that class of sophistication.

These aircraft are EM Pulse hardened and each avionic is fail-safe. However I would feel personally unconfortable to fly this aircraft.

@@safaqi01 What enables you to pull more Gs is holding the paddle behind the stick that overrides the G-limiter (which usually limits it around 7.5Gs) not the stick's placement... And a center mounted stick can be as ergonomic as a side stick...it depends on how its moduled...and again...its a matter of preference...ik F-16s pilots who flew F-18s and prefer the center mounted stick.

1:30 Funny how he has no explanation why the plane has no centre stick. It is a design choice from the time where the plane was controlled with cables and pullys. But those days are long gone. And the left hand or right hand steering option is stupid, your left hand is always on the throttle.

what a waste for such a big model, which is not real, sounds for me they make to much money, and the products are to expensive still.

Yeah what was that about. If you can swap the throttle to either side, then you can also swap the control stick. Actually even on a central stick they have to swap the handle if it's for a left handed pilot, so it really makes no difference.

Does it come in pink? What does it does this red button? How much does it cost? Can we trade the price? Do you accept debit card?!?!🤣

biggest downside is : no side stick , its center stick like the outdated made with no reguards for humans

​@@mitchjames9350 Gripen E, NG etc is good. Even fantastic. But F-18, even the legacy version has much more to offer. SImply when you add the second engine, competition got harder. Gripen can be superior in high speed dogfight to F-18 family but low altitude, low speed, two circle... F-18 is the Su-27 of the Free World. Cobra, Down spiral... All possible.
