The Marklin Engine appeared in Off The Rails assisting in Gordon's Rescue from the Ditch you can see 2 headlamps passing by those lamps belonging to Marklin

You are correct. This story takes place after the first series, similar to 'James and the Old Coaches', another of my stories. That story in particular explains what became of the old coaches after the first series and why the red branch line coaches appeared from series two onward

Fun fact after series 3 of Thomas and friends the marklin engine was actually torn apart into pieces and used in the background for scrap engine parts although they did use his chassis for stuff like Toby and his chassis can also be briefly seen in the episode busy going backwards where it can be seen pushing towed and the trucks

This came up in my recommendations and I'm glad I clicked on it. You don't get many stories centred around that one obscure background engine and this was a really good story.

That was a great story! I felt sorry for Marklin after what Thomas and Gordon did to him, but this story showed how Marklin missed his old Railway.

I feel like at the end is gonna be a montage tribute to Tugs showing refilmed scenes of the star tugs but with Marklin’s new face along with a orchestra of the ending theme from tugs.

Wow, brilliant to acknowledge the background Marklin engine, which I learnt pretty much about in my adulthood! You gotta feel sorry for him if nobody notices him ever since Thomas came. Also nice to hint this story is connected to Tugs with him moving to Bigg City Port.

I love that the events of this story were followed up in your recent crossover!

Seth Reid: Marklin became a new member of the North Western Railway on Sodor and visited the Furry Metatonia Railways in the Furry Kingdom and the Equestria Lunar Railway in Equestria.

Oh I get it! Marklin becomes Puffa and then goes to big city port and becomes friends with Ten Cents and the star fleet!

We defo need a sequal story to this 1) he visits & tells storys of bigg city port or see marklin how he left sodor to his overhaul & meeting with the star tugs

This really does work as a story. We get to learn about Marklin and why he is on the railway. A shame we don't get to learn about his personality. But well done on this superb story 👍😀.

I believed you Kiefer Adams, I first thought that Puffa was the engine from Tugs, but now I understand why after he was formally known as Marklin, he was named after the model making company Marklin as it known to be then, so I’m glad he has an overhaul and everything, I thought that I managed to recognise him, but he looks very special and really useful too

Marklin kinda sounds a bit like Forte from _Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas._ That "fade into the background" bit got me thinking. Also, like Forte, Marklin blames Thomas for ruining it for him, making him feel less important and needed. At least he doesn't go mad and try to bring the house down. 😜 There's even a inkling of Scar in him when he calls Thomas a "little blue runt" who came along, and Gordon is all "That little blue runt is my son and your future king." 😉 Meanwhile, a fine story about Marklin and a fine way to link him to _TUGS._

marklin is actually based off a German tank engine if he misses home he should be sent back to Germany

It would be awesome if Marklin was in the CGI series

A story about Märklin? I love it its not often we see people do stories on Märklin so its always nice to see them! The ending was really sweet too. Great work

my au goes like this when the star fleet and zero fleet whent bankroupt and diesel tugs are taking over big city port and both captains sold their tugs to sodor and marklin stayed in his gray livery and marklin / puffa his friends are on sodor when both star and zero fleet hear that bigg city port was dieselized

Actually, I have a theory that puffa and marklin are the same, after season 2, marklin was no longer needed, and got sent to bigg city port, and they later named him puffa.

The Marklin Engine aka Puffa.
