@11:35 😁 I had the same tank top. I remember, my mother knitting one for me, which I proudly wore at school. Within a few weeks, almost all the kids were wearing them. This was a great programme and certainly one of my favourite sitcoms. When I bought my first house my nieighbour informed me that he had gone to school with Ian La Frenais, one of the writers of The Likely Lads. Regards from Whitley Bay ... where some of the scenes were filmed ...the Christmas one, being about a mile from where I live.

I stopped watching those morons over ten years ago. Actually more like 15 years. Same with mainstream radio.

Still very funny after nearly 50 years great acting and superb timing

Comedy at its very best,done when the bbc was the bbc and NOT the least bit woke as it is NOW

I stopped watching the morons over ten years ago. Same with the radio. I stick to KZread and select DVDS. All the mainstream bullshit plays zero part in my life.

Back in the days when the BBC could still make quality comedy and drama and the television licence was actually worth paying.

Walls aren’t plumb and there’s a crack in the wall and look out the window across the street at the houses opposite, the whole estate must have been built on an old mine 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
