You can also chamber 45 Schofield and 45 Autorim. So digesting all that means if ammo is hard to find you can find more options with this revolver.

I had the 8 3/8 barrel version of the XVR and put a scope on it but was just too much to carry comfortably. I traded another for his version of the XVR in a 5inch barrel. Much easier to carry and combined with a good chest holster it is great. I fiinally found a solid end piece for it to remove the ported one. When out in the woods shooting the ported one my ears hurt for quite a while. With the non ported version most of the noise goes out front making it better. The trade off was a little more recoil but I'm able to handle that quite well. Extremely accurate revolver and love it. I load my own rounds also making it much cheaper to shoot.

Just purchased the same exact gun today, but I am totally confused on the compensator? I was told that the compensator with the three oval holes in it will shoot everything and the other compensator only shoots led. I have a couple hundred rounds of 45 colt that I will shoot just to get rid of it and I have 454 casul and just purchased 460 Magnum but still not sure which ones I can shoot with the three hole compensator the way the gun comes from the factory I was told I can shoot everything and I can’t find anything in the manual? Thanks for the video any help you can give me a simple terms so I can understand it would be great👍
