There are many games around, but Stalker... it is just something different. No game other than Stalker made me sink into the story so much that I literally felt as I was there myself. Also, environement and basically just the feeling of being in the zone is just something that cannot be explained by words, you just have to feel it by playing the game yourself, and once you have played it for the first time, trust me, the zone will take you and you will, no matter how many times you decide to stoo playing it, just always somehow return to it. Good luck and good hunting stalkers, see you in the zone.

Fallout: Haha, silly little quirky meme and radiation is just a tickle on your chest. Multiple enemies? Oh just use VATS and headshot target them all. Need to check inventory? It's ok we'll pause the game. STALKER: I've seen things...not human...not even mutant....just horrors. I barely made it back to Skadovsk and I lost my comrade when he couldn't make it to cover during an emission. The poor bastard looked done for, but he slowly came back to life...just not as the Ivan I used to know. I put one in his head, I know he wouldn't want to continue as what he became. I buried him even and his cherished rifle. Now.....let me lay my weary head down on this old shitty mattress. Ahhh.... (love both games btw, but STALKER takes the cake for survival in radiated wasteland for me)

Not trying to be pretentious, but the term clip actually is not interchangeable with magazine. Clips are what you put into the bolt action rifles like the mosin, a thin piece of metal to hold the ends of the rounds. Magazines are containers that house the whole round. Sorry if i sound like a know it all

@@polarbear6479 Yeah, and clips are used to load magazines. A mosin has an internal magazine, which is loaded via clip. AKS-74u's are fed by magazine, yet can accept a clip into the magazine for faster loading. You clearly knew what I was talking about, why go on about it? Sure, both are different, but at the same time, the word "bullet button" and "high capacity magazine" exist.

Now if I were to say "loading a clip of old AP rounds into your AKS-74U" then you would be 100% right in your argument. I get your pet peeve, it bugs me as well, but sometimes I think we just need to realize that people make mistakes, or people use certain terms interchangeably, and not really caring about the context of it.

You play this game to escape reality meanwhile between all the crazy anomalies and insane mutants, you find realism in humanity and the story itself and the quests and companions along the way, you play a game to escape reality to not escape reality. S.T.A.L.K.E.R is beautiful.

the badassery content in this soundtrack is immesurable. Great songs, they really stick with you if you play this game a lot. And even outside of the game, they are still great songs

36:42 Ария - Беспечный ангел - Reminds me of my companion who died during a mission to kill renegades in the swamp in the pump station. The battle lasted from half an hour, I was stoned at the time and it was an amazing experience. Stalker GAMMA is a great modpack.

Waiting for stalker 2 patiently. Played Stalker for the first time like 9 years ago. I was blessed at first sight. Even though it was really hard at a smol stalker age the game sucked me into its weird and creepy but cozy feeling. I will drink vodka and blast this when stalker 2 comes out. And it I need to cure my radiation I'll drink in game and real life for the real stalker experience. Also playing ironman ofc. This game for me is 3am in Prague on a rainy night on a shitty laptop.. Man I really love this game

You slowly put your detector away, reach into your pocket, and light up the last of your shitty cigs. You inhale a long puff of smoke, then you rummage through the contents of your backpack, and find a beer. With a smirk, you inhale a few more puffs of smoke, carelessly flick the butt away, and open the bottle. You lean back, and in a few long gulps, you down the beer. "Another day among the living." - you think to yourself. Then you realize that it's just a game, and in the past couple of minutes, you did almost the exact same actions as your character... a truly priceless and unique experience!

you can't go wrong with STALKER especially with some mods you can play with better graphics shadow of chernobyl for example! This music is from the radio from stalker anomaly mod which is another fantastic experience, it's actually a collection of some of the best mods put together in one pack, there is no story in it but it's still great to wonder around and feel that stalker vibe! so you can try it after playing the stories! but I am not a purist you can also try anomaly mod straight away :)) that's what I did actually but then I wanted to do the story thing as well so I installed shadow of chernobyl which I have not finished yet but I'm like half way in it!

only the Metro series are comparable to the STALKER series to be honest. Both games are extreme masterpieces that no other post-apocalyptic themed game can able to achieve as of right now.

STALKER is one of the only games where having glitches/designing mistakes make you love the game even more and makes the game much more atmospheric. STALKER definitely deserves the "Post-Apocalyptic Game of The Decade" medal. -Sincerely, a lost rookie Stalker living in the harsh and unforgiving conditions of The Zone

So i was playing Stalker Anomaly, walking trought the zone, I guess is Scientist base at yanov... Anyways , so I was listen the radio when this music " Линда - Северный ветер" started, land I thought, well why why not relax for a while isn't? is 10 pm, , lets take a rest... And was one of the most wonderful experiences what I have with this mod, like take a seat with the brothers, at campfire, eat something, take some water before sleeps , listen some good music ... And yes, Is my frist time playing Stalker Anomaly and well, until now I still loving this mod, is kinda hard, yeeees!! And that's I like it! After finish my gameplay, I stop here lol, I mean, i'll research for the musics of the radio, and here I am :) Spassiba bratan for upload this video, and for your effort to make a nice content like this! Ps: Apologies for my bad english lmao, he's still in construction, I'm from Brazil so, anyways a big hug from here!

Линда - Северный ветер is a very beautiful song and I agree with everything else that you said, I understand what you say brat! yes the difficult nature of stalker is what makes it special and the few moments of peace at the campfire with the radio are very comforting, even when we quit the game we still like to research stuff about the game! I made this video because I had to contribute something to the community! Thanks for listening and commenting!
