I haven't played since season 2 but am very excited for the gates to open next week and am praying the Golem Mastery is still available on gear as expected so I can blast with a top tier build. I spent an hour or two last night reading up on the improved codex, tempering, and masterworking systems and then read through your entire guide to understand all the different aspects of the build and its synergies. Awesome! I'm all in on Team Necro for Season 4. Oh also, Adam Jackson confirmed on DM and Ghazzy's Tavern Talk earlier today that there will indeed only be Golem Mastery on the usual slot, amulet. So it won't be on all the armor slots.

Hi! Please consider updating the paragon board in the maxroll guide to start with control instead of amplify. Given that we're constantly casting decrepify, which slows enemies, it makes more sense. It's a lot of extra damage.

Damage on trash mobs is irrelevant. We only care about maximizing boss damage.

Thanks for putting this guide together, it looks great. Two things: Is the ring of Mendlin section in the build outdated? The ring no longer relies on lucky hit, is it worth using? Also how about Sacrilegious soul?

Mendelns proc was pretty bad numerswise on the PTR, this should t have changed. Sacri is a wasted slot.

Hey, playing a version of Golem minions similar to this but with some differences but do you think penitent greaves or grandfather have any value for this build? Im currently doing ~pit tier 70 and I was wondering if I could squeeze in the must have aspects if Grandfather would be an upgrade or not. Im not using corpse tendrils of bone prison or blood orbs just self casting decrepify and blight so I'm not as tight on aspects. Also currently using penitent greavs but not sure if minions gain the 15% damage to chilled enemies throught the cold mages. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Great vid and write up guide! Enjoy season 4!

@@chadchotia4114 na i got bored of minions super quick after getting to pit 100 and started making other builds. I saw the number 1 gauntlet necro using grandfather so im sure it has value but I never personally tested it, just couldn't fit all the aspects I wanted without wand and focus.

Thank you very much for this concise guide. But I have a question: The Blood Getter's Aspect can not be applied to pants in the game's current patch. Is it different in the upcoming patch? I looked around and cannot find it stated as changed.

Just wanted to ask: Do the minions inherit all the lucky hit effects as well? LIke the lucky hit to apply freeze, stun, slow etc? And the minion attacks also reduce the cooldowns for abhorrent decripify right? no longer a bug or with thorns? I didn't get to test out on the PTR, so am relying entirely on these guides. And it never occurred to me to use hardened bones on the amulet - DR will be even more valuable now.

Minions are finnicky. They proc Abhorrent Decrepify. Not sure yet about the other stuff yet, but they probably wont.

there is one thing that I didn’t get it. how will you apply darkness without blight in your build? I mean in your skill set there’s no space for blight bcause of bone prision. I was thinking of this build from the beginning (lv1) until lv 100, in that case should I use blight instead of one prision while im leveling? Also, how do we consume corps?

Looks like I found my build for S4. only thing missing from it is a skill tree slider so that I/we can gain maximum from each skill point as we level.

Hello Chronikz, can you make "Minion Necromancer Endgame Build Guide" lazy variant? I really want to use [Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul] - unless there is already such a variant somewhere, in which case I will ask for a link :-) Play with two-handed weapons and give up one of the legendary aspects? You can use it but you'll lose out on quite a lot of good Tempers and an Aspect.

So, I assume that since golem mastery only goes on the amulet now. Should we change all other mentions of golem mastery on gear to golem damage, or is there a more optimum choice?

ive been following this guide and loving it but i have one problem. it says to get cooldown on amulet but it feels like cooldown cant be obtained on a amulet. i cannot reroll to get the stat to save my life and i also cannot find any amulets on the ground the come with cooldown. is it bugged?. im going crazy chasing a stat that seems to be unobtainable

Try gambling Amulets with Obols.

Instead of fast-blood, would it be better to opt for wind up warriors to reduce cool down and then put another, minion friendly enchant on the ring slot?

I've been comparing this build vs the one on d4 build, robs build. Trying to figure out the major differences. I was unaware of the cd time on the skeletons. This will be my first necro ever. Never gone wrong with a maxroll build yet

@vreelz Well Golem has the higher multiplier and the Iron golem smash whilst Shadow Mages are 3-5 so thats quite a lot. We‘ll have to run tests on Pit T60 bosses and time them to measure. But Shadow Mages obviously work great with Shadow.

Why is Corporeal prioritized for leveling up when you don’t even have enough intelligence nodes selected to get the bonus? It seems like all you get is a tiny bit of resistance?

Mainly playing to proc Blighted with as many Shadow damage sources as possible for Shadow and the resetting of Army of the Dead with Blood Orbs for non-Shadow.

Hi Chronikz, great job with video and guide. All of us truly understand how much effort you guys put into these. I was wondering if you could put more details into the breakpoints part of the guide. I am returning player from season 1, so some of this has changed. 1. Can you differentiate between hard breakpoint / soft breakpoint. I.e. once you get to critical strike chance > 100% you want to make sure not to invest in that stat above it vs i am assuming it is ok to go attack speed above 100%? It would be good to understand this better on all the stats listed for breakpoints. 2. Can you clarify how each stat is actually measured if there are special circumstances? From your example, on critical strike chance it seems we want our character sheet to be at 70% b/c we know 30% will come from inspiring leader? Any other of the stats needs considerations like this for breakpoints that we just can't refer to our character stat sheet sitting unbuffed in town?

You are right and we should probably write that down somewhere but for now we kinda have to work with what we got. I understand that breakpoints that are „common sense“ for us might be not known by others. For 2. its a mess in the game client. Some things show in the stat sheet, some dont. If you truly want to know something you mostly have to calculate the correct value yourself out of the game or follow someone‘s build guide to a tee.

Currently lvl 100 and am finishing up the build, should I swap to a shadow minion or is the difference minor in terms of which is better overall.

Shadow is way tankier due to permanent Bone Storm in its final form and Shielding Storm. Has a bit less single target DPS though.

Blood getter's is crazy. 20+% multiplier and constant stream of meaningful healing with a 100% uptime is insane to have on a *utility* aspect. This aspect alone makes it harder to justify running without minions I think.

I love it, currently lvl 100, still climbing the ranks in the Pit. However, I have not been able to do Lilith, even with 40K health, at one point I just die. The build is fine, and it's really enjoyable in all content, but Lilith somehow manages to stay out of my reach for now. Anyone have advice on how to tackle Lilith with this build?

Uber Lilith is more so a skill check now, than a build check. Get to phase 2 without a stack and you have a chance.

You press everything as it comes off cooldown and collect Blood Orbs in the meantime. Thats what makes Minion playstyle so easy.

That's why i support and subscribe. You're the first creator I've spoken to that hasn't been helpful. Maybe make a video of how to play the build also rather than rambling about the point allocations that nobody cares about. They want the guide so they can play. 3 of my buddies had the exact same Question of why allocate points to something early we don't use? (after i stupidly recommended this guide.) Funny you won't explain why you take the early two points but you deep dive semantics in your video rather than showing how to play the build.

Were you aware that in your set-up for the minion necromancer on Maxroll you seemed to have neglected leaving space for the skeleton AND the golem in the Skill Tree & Gameplay section? It messes up the leveling guide and the end game guide. Could you please correct that or at least include an explanation as to what you are supposed to change in order to accommodate the golem? I would appreciate it.

@@Chronikz It is mentioned in the pictograph on the right hand side of the screen under the Skill Tree & Gameplay section. At no point do you explain that away. It's an oversight. Please make the appropriate corrections to your Maxroll build article for the minion necromancer.

I'm not sure Bone Prison will be playable on controller unless they changed how the targeting works, too easy to trap yourself inside the Bone Prison with the enemies with the way the targeting currently works on controller.

It looks and plays fairly similar to the Shadow. But Shadow is a bit more nuanced.

@@smokingbeard7796 on the website it says that they changed to scythe for more golem damage temper... But i see that on 2h sword the temper is the same so i'm also confused

Thats not at all what I say in the changelog. In the changlog I say it increases the Golem Ability damage. That is due to higher maximum damage on the Scythe due its lower Attack Speed.

I find it hilarious when people make build guides but don't show any actual gameplay of the build itself.

This build guide was created when the PTR wasnt live and Season 4 wasnt out. I prefer not showing anything wrong.

The mid-season patch will nuke necromancer because everyone will be playing it😢

Might be true but Ball Lightning wasnt fixed either and that wasa bugged build. Minions are S without game breaking bugs.

The PTR was available for 1 week in early April.

Dont upload builds for now... mark my words u will redo them for sure. All content creators are over talking about necro " insane" , " super OP" , " the go to class" , "best for leveling " , "best for end game " , " ez brain dead playstyle with the biggest dmg" and so on... necro will get a nerf out of nowhere just before release :) hyping it 2 much Also why is necro minion build S tier for leveling when the leveling will be mainly done in helltides and minion build is probably the slowest . I know u can kill whatever you want ,but isnt it going to be very very slow 1-50 with necro in general ?

I‘m redoing guides on the daily, that doesnt scare me. Necro has been the best leveler for 1-50 in the past without Minions, now you have everything you had before but insane Minions on top. Thats an easy S.
