Personally, I'm going for hiya. I prefer the screen accurate design. Is it a. Bit small, yeah, but it's not a deal breaker. The shm is stylized, and the price is obscene. I'm not knocking anyone who likes it but not for me.

I'm so glad that you pulled out the different reference shots from the movie. I had those loaded up in a PPT and OBS decided I couldn't show them! Shimo's size definitely yoyos throughout the movie in comparison to the other monsters. I don't mind the size of the SHMA, but that price is certainly a barrier. Thanks for the shout-out and the headpats at 8:21. When you mistakenly referred to Iris as Isis I laughed out loud!

Coming 2024 Gamera vs Isis....

I'm going with the Hiya Toys version because it does look good in my eyes and that do collect a bit more of Hiya Toys products than SHMA. Now, the SHMA version isn't too shabby still to each their own because we're going to have a Shimo on the shelf whomever makes her regardless.

Kurama is very reputable and legit. Have ordered from them many times.

Where can I preorder Shimo and it’s not showing up on Amazon or big bad toy store or Bandai Nation

Hiya has to make shimo a couple inches bigger because when Godzilla tackled her he wrapped his arms around her neck and her head was laying on half his body she has to be a little bit bigger she was big in the movie

So far, just from the promo picks and all, Hiya looks like the better buy for me. Better price, better articulation, decently big scale. Those clear crystals on the S.H. look good, but its pretty dang expensive, and I don't really look how smooth it looks. And I'm in Canada, so their both kinda pricy, but $200 plus US is crazy! (I also love when the promo pics have some kind of scale, even just with another figure, really makes deciding on a purchase easier.)

I also wonder... even though it does drive me crazy after buying one version... would Hiya put out a second version of Shimo with clear crystals and a breath effect like the Gravity Beam King Ghidorah! I mean it makes sense to get as much use out of a unique mold.

@@billybeigecustoms Oof, yeah that would be smart on their part. I guess they'll want to see how well this one sells before deciding, but it seems like that would combine the best of both worlds. A breath effect and those crystals really would make the fig.

​@@billybeigecustomsProbably. But, if they are learning from their consumers, I guess they will be delaying those things since we haven't heard a better MUTO announcement. If they revealed a better MUTO withing this month or July, then they will probably do the same with Shimo. I honestly don't mind. I'll just sell mine and make a small buck out of it. Lmao

I’m going for the Monster Arts easily, as I only collect exclusively Monster Arts for a Godzilla line. Also, this figure will be so rare and so expensive in the future, I don’t see Tamashii Nation doing a reissue/rerelease/rehash of this figure in the future. It is not a classic monster design and not a character who has a lot of following.

I bought my first Hiya and SHMA figures recently, and I like the SHMA more. A big reason is that the SHMA one is a lot more fun to mess with, at least for me. As for the Shimo figures, I’m conflicted. $230 is a ridiculous price but it could be a great figure. I need to see what the paint job looks like in person. Pearlescent paints don’t photograph all that well, so maybe it’s better than it looks in the promo picks. And while the Hiya pics look great in the diorama, with the white background their Shimo looks pretty bright white too.

If there's anything I leaned. What you see in the promo pics is actually the "Better" paint of the product. Just take a look on their previous releases. And no, they don't choose. Look at Godzilla minus 1, a well sought Figure. Look how they split the fan base with how disappointing their paint app to that fig. That begs the Question. If the promo Pics is the better one... What could be their worse (The product you will be receiving) Keep that in mind and come back to this comment when the time comes people start reviewing and having this figure in their hands.

Scale war is very petty and kindna embrassing i mean what's the point? In fact it show how incompetent shm on mv side are by not only not accurate to the movie on sculpt,detail, and scale

People who likes being paywalled or wanting this trend of "Buy this to get this" predatory scheme is actually Mentally Ill. I am more disgusted that they are implementing some FOMO tactics that plagues the gaming industry and people seems to not care. DON'T LET IT BE THE NEW NORM FOR FIGURES
