Mine showed up last week and I think this is probably my favourite figure ever. He's just so poseable and so detailed, and the cape is so much fun to fiddle with!

I just got this today. There is a bit of a gap between the belt and the chest. Is it normal? Like if I move the chest up I can see the peg join.

You can put the cape under the shoulder piece to get the cape in a “resting” position! It works very very good. Try also to bend the wires at their maximum to match the shape of the shoulders. See? There is nothing to complain about...ITS THE BEST DK FIGURE EVER.

The odd thing there, I never have a clue what I'm going to do for an intro when I go into the review. Just last minute things or screw-ups during the shoot.

Best Batman figure in 1/12 scale ever, especially if the Dark Knight is your favorite Batman movie. Just ordered mine.

Ricardo Dos Santos I oqn this figure to and it is not better than the Mezco BvS Batman or their Dark Knight Returns Batman. it is the best Bale Batman figure ever granted Mafex doesn't knock it out the box with their 3.0 one.

I guess Bandai really wanted to avoid any "where's the trigger . . . finger!?" jokes.

The chest on the suit in the movies was pretty big and far out in the front, but it was also so when he bent down, the chest would go over the stomach plates and added protection from gunshots to the chest

Bruce Wayne head could be great on this figure

Great review brother!!! I have this figure on pre-order and I can't wait to get him. I personally don't care if he's not compatible with other figures. Batman is kind of a loner anyway. I would love to see them do a Two Face however and then maybe a Talia. They could make her a web exclusive. Keep up the great work brother...

Yeah, I remember that gunk being referred to as "sweat", occurs overtime with the type of plastic Mattel uses (or used to use) as I've seen an image on a Toyark forum that shows it with a unopened 3.75 inch Superman pack.

If you tuck the cape under the shoulder pads it's won't pop out and it should fix the problem which is what I did

How is the scale with this Batman together with figuarts Iron man Mk 50?

It’s kinda of annoying that the cape sticks up so for my batman I just put the cape under his shoulder pads and then bend the wires in his cape to make it look more natural so his cape is closer to his body

No they don't, it's why I don't use them for preorders unless absolutely necessary regardless of their prices. That and not telling you the shipping cost upfront at time of in stock purchases hurts them with me overall. Honestly, I've found shopping with them through their eBay shop better because they already add in the shipping and it's sometimes cheaper. You can also use Ebates there which gives you a few bucks cash back depending on %.

so which did you get I'm leaning more to this over the mafex,i hear the mafex falls apart alot

I was looking forward for this figure, and I totally agree the scale will be off with the Mafex figures, I guess we'll have to wait for the Mafex Batman V.3 to come out to see if this one is worth the buy or the Mafex one is just as good or better and has as you say a bigger cast of figures to go with it (with Mafex although they have been upping their game there is always the fear that once it comes out its complete garbage). So I since I cant cancel my preorder on this one I guess Ill have to get it and wait for the mafex (and if that one is better just sell the shf)

i think this figure is great and for sure quality unlike mafex. I think it will go okay with mafex bane actually since i wouldnt mind if bane is bigger than batman, but yeah the joker may be too big but comparing it with the 1.0 and bank robber joker it looks okay. As for saving space with the cape, you just gotta work with it a bit more since it's so sturdy, i curved one side of the cape over his body and the other side towards his body but folded out to give it a wind swept look (like a breeze is hitting him just standing there) and that saves a good amount of space. You could just also bend both sides of the cape around in front him too, and that would look good as well! I have the 1.0 Mafex batman and it was actually my favorite rendition of him until this one, and i can contest that the SHF is actually a bit bigger and probably same for 2.0 since the bodies are similar not sure how the 3.0 will stack up though, i skipped out on 2.0 because of hearing about the QC problems, not sure about 3.0, but i for sure want bane and maybe 2.0 joker. They also showed two face and scarecrow, so mafex looking good on the nolan series, but as for DK batman i think with SHF im good unless the 3.0 really blows people out of the water, it doesnt have a bruce wayne head either so still a bit of a pass for me but we'll see. i do want that batman begins one though, not enough figures of that suit!

Man, Ive had this figure for awhile and its not bad but I recently got the mafex 3.0 nearly blows him out of the water as far as articulation,cape and accessories.

Nice review boss! Hey Robo one thing I was hoping you would show the grapnel gun placed in the holster. ALL the reviews I've seen, like Anthonys, and Gregs, & the others, none of them do it. I'm starting to wonder if it even is a good gimmick, or if it even works correctly. Either way "good show 'ol chap!" Btw got my Articulated Icons pack left at my door (haven't opened it yet, but I assume that what is cuz says "The Fwoosh" on it.😆

I did put it in the holster, after putting the holster back on during the Grapnel segment. 9:37 It works pretty good but gets in the way hanging down. And woo, I hope you like the ninjas!

My SHF Batman is gonna need some Articulated Icons Ninjas to fight.... :-D Also, I wonder if the new head design is to combat the custom head sculpt market.

love mine, although there is an annoying gap between where the body connects with the waist

Pre order has been cancelled for this figure! Lol. With Mafex releasing a new Joker, Catwoman and Batman, as well as a new Bane, I'll be getting the 3.0 Batman

Some dude who is brave enough to comment Which one lol? The V1 had QC issues and V2 was trash. V3 is looking like the greatest DK figure ever in 1/12 scale but Mafex is notorious for showing amazing figures then changing them last second. Look at the Wonder Woman figure as an example.

The good thing about Batman though is he has WAY less paint apps to screw up so I'm not as worried there. More about loose joints and such. Same for Bane, but Joker and Catwoman may suffer a bit.

Naw, I look at it every now and then and I still think going MAFEX was the right move, plus MAFEX made way more characters for this franchise.

I have absolutely no idea who that is, even after Googling.

Robo, I backed articulated icons when they first came out. I purchased the red basic ninja and the Fumetsu undying ronin. I received the figures today and both have serious issues. The waist joint for the red ninja is completely frozen and not hot water nor a heat gun/hairdryer has helped in the slightest. The waist joint looks like it is pulling itself out of the crotch/legs connection area. I'm extremely disappointed and I reached out to the backer kit "contact us" page to no avail. I need either a full refund or a replacement copy because frankly, I've paid far too much and waited far too long for these to have such outstanding quality control issues. I can send images or video if necessary to show the issues. Please reply,

I don't know how many times I gotta say it, I bought this at the exact release date of the figure, from a reputable source. Every time someone has a problem about how I reviewed a Figuarts it's just gotta be a bootleg.

Derek Larner It would be outta scale. The Dark Knight Joker by NECA is 7 inches so the SH Figuarts Dark knight Batman would look tiny compared to that figure.

Just get this figure. It's great. Skip mafex. Their figures suck ass

I really wished that one day they'll figure out to put articulated plastic skeletal structures inside the cape instead of bendy wires. I always have fear on bendy wires loosing its default shape one day or eventually developing rust inside the cape due to moisture.

Probably. It's a nice figure, and that's about going rate for SHF.

Arkham Knight batan figure from import company is what we need. IDK how about you, but I think game armor, especially from arkham knight, the super high-tech one, beats the crap out of every single movie design. At the end of the day batman is just a rich dude that relies on tech and not super powers. Its only fitting isntead of some funky armor, he has high-tech shit all over him.

I'm so anxious to see these guys do a Bane action figure. I didn't like the mafex Bane at all. It was just too scrawny and the proportions were way off.

Really not a fan of Bale as Batman but it sure looks like I will have to pick this up :(

This figure blows every shitty over priced mafex figure out of the water.

Just as a suggestion, videos are way too long and u go way beyond talking about the figure too much to where it's useless information. Just my opinion though, keep up the good work
