Your femurs might be attached to your hip at a more forward position so widening them would cause that pinch. But they give more details to find your optimal stance. I think what they pointed out with Ivan might be because his knees push wider in the middle of the squat so he might benefit from standing a bit wider, but yeah itd depend on his anatomy

I recall Mike Israetel said somewhere that he injured his back once and that's why he squats with the arched back, because that makes him more safe and comfortable, and that he wouldn't suggest someone else to do what he does by default. I also remember him saying that he squats with arms like that because he's just way too jacked for his arms to fit normally, I actually think he says you should try to have your arms as close to your shoulders as your physique allows. Are you saying that High bar ATG squats are not the best fit for taller lifters? that it's better to move to a low bar? I am 198 cm.
ONLY HERE FOR IVAN, THE BIGGEST MOVITATOR ON KZread.
Question guys: Is that depth on the first squat ok for competition or is it a bit high? does not seem 90º angle on the video. Great video

Agreed, I thought it was weird they were saying it was perfect when it didn't look to be to depth.
Ryan's squat is just plain high. Not just from a competitive POV but also from an engagement POV.
Thank you for showing someone squatting beautifully who has long femurs 😭
Make a review of the Taylor Atwood's squat, I think that he have one of the best low bar ever

Team Djuric checking in!
Just for general question regarding what you refer to as "taller lifters". What would that be, I know its a dumb question, but are you a taller lifter if your 6.0 feet (183cm)?

Pretty sure they said in the video taller than 6' so I would say you count as taller, but the length of your femurs is probably more important

Depends on the leverages
The difference between ryans and matts was really cool
Every one of Dengler's reps appeared to be above parallel. No question about depth with the other lifters.
No clearanceO?
