I thought you were grunting to your decoy, lol. I watch as many of your shows as possible. I liked your analogy of sitting in the treestand

As a Wisconsin deer hunter I have trained my body to sit for very long hours. For some reason I don't need to pee or poop when I'm out in the woods. The ten pointer I got in 2021 was the result of an all day sit. I got up in my stand at about 5:30am and the buck didn't come in until just before sunset. It was a 12 hour sit. To be able to do this I have learned to wear things like thick boots and a heated jacket so I'm never cold. When I was younger I often had to get down and walk around to warm up. That just doesn't happen anymore. I also don't eat or drink while in the tree. I get into a calm, zen-like state where I am just content listening to everything around me: like grouse pecking around in the leaves below me, pileated woodpeckers knocking on trees, or crows off in the distance.

Great buck and great episode! I know how you feel for Ive shot a buck in the same spot and lucked out went only 100 yards. I'm glad you guys don't edit this kind of stuff out for its so important for everyone to know what true hunting is like. Ive seen many shows where there high 5ing as the buck runs away with a ponch shot, not looking where he's going. Thanks for showing your true emotions while you hunt!

Watching Remi whitetail hunt cracks me up, they way he was grunting at them and bleeting after the shot. They may be related to Elk but they are not Elk. Glad you were able to make the recovery on that one.

Thanks for putting this on youtube, i dont have cable so finding good hunting shows can be difficult. Speaking of difficulty, or lack there of, hunt for white tail in kansas... you wont freeze quite as much.

It just occurred to me that if aliens wanted to hunt humans, they would position a big boobed animatronic lady mannequin under a tree and sooner or later curious, weary dudes would start to appear. :)

Ill never forget this episode. This was the first ep of Solo Hunters I had ever watched about 3 years ago and have loved it ever since...pretty sure this was specifically due to Remi's comments about treestand hunting which couldn't be more true!!!!! Love the series, keep rockin it guys!

Hit my very first deer (which was the first animal I ever shot at with a bow) in the exact same spot when I was 16. Also only ran about a 100 yds. Biggest deer I've got to date.
