@@jeremyeastland9531 there is people of all color and identity, who have lived and still live the struggle. That's why hip hop is globally relatable. So to say white folks can't speak on these things, is out of pocket. There is no doubt where the culture was born. But it belongs to the world now. No one can take away the roots. It's on all us to preserve its history and integrity.

@@mr.neqtan Mr. Neqtan loke I said back when I made my statement, im still making the same statement. Now you just said everybody knows where it was born before it was called hip hop, right? Then you go on to say that now its globally relatable, right? Cause its ppl of all colors living the struggle, can't speak for everybody all over the globe, although I sympathize for anybody facing discrimination, all I can attest for is right here in what we now know to be america, there is a problem with white ppl speaking the language, or anybody of any color, that hasn't been through what we right here in what we now know to be america went through. Back when the furious five was doing it, as well as alot of other black activist who were bless'ed with the ability of the spoken word to create lyrics that would uplift, and unite an oppress'ed nation, they could care less about going global, after the Civil war, right here in what we now know to be america, after the emancipation proclamation, and civil rights laws being passed, after the forming of organizations, that the same government funded organizations call gangs were formed, we the inhabitants of what we now know to be america were trying to establish our own identity, a direction to move in, to create something that solely belong to us, create a voice for an oppressed nation, this was going on before it was called hip hop. So yes it is a problem with white ppl jacking the slang rearranging landmarks, trying to change the sound of the voice of an oppressed nation, and putting their face on it. Just like the hatians when they fought off the french, just like when pablo escobar fought the U.S. government. Its no different, it was about bringing awareness to the black community, getting us to stand up for ourselves, raise our own children, stop relying on the government, looking for hand outs. Never said they couldn't join the movement as long as the principles stay the same, and they can't speak on certain things, thats what I said, cause the message gets distorted in the future genarations to come. Get a copy of the B.O.L, the 120, and read the student enrollment, then you'll get a better understanding of what is now known as hip hop, what its purpose is. You know why the black man refers to one another as God, and tell there children they come from kimgs and queens? Outside the fact its a picture of a white jesus in the bible, and churches taught you jesus was white, the way the police treat blacks, and talk to black children? When I was on school, I was taught that my ancestors were apes, that we were speaking mombo jumbo, that we were born from slaves, and thats all I would amount to without the systems form of education

I agree... very EPIC interview... I loved it! A child of the late 80’s and all of the 90’s hip hop era...no other generation of hip hop can come close to its greatness! real good interview.... really breaks down the reasons why things can and can not get done once money is the driving point. when ppl are broke and starting out, its so easy to allow that passion to drive you, causing you to be up for days writing and in the booth for hours. But once the money comes in, that same "brotherhood" that you had in the past keeps lost and the media blows it up to be "beef"... damn shame.

+getyoasshome Actually RZA's label "Soul Temple" fell off bad, couldn't even process orders...The Wu is no longer relevant because they didn't evolve....They stayed pretty much doing the same shit they did back when they started and doing it nowhere near as good as back then...And its so strange cuz it seems like a genius like RZA could easily mastermind a serious comeback for the Wu but shit man A Better Tomorrow sold like 20,000 copies...when used to be every album the Wu dropped was a million sold AT LEAST....and shit its not even about numbers, because there are some dope dope dope emcees/producers who don't move that many units, case in point Primo who is the shiznizzle, etc etc. but the product they put out is subpar even. Wu-Tang is NOT forever...Really they should of just quit while they were ahead, better to burn out then fade away...

+Bailey Moore who else has been making records for over 20 years, rza produces for Jay z and Kanye, two prominent rap stars. the rza makes movies now and the shkreli situation has brought attention to the WU, tell me, if lil wayne made an album now and sold it for a million would any one buy it within the same space of time as once upon a time in shaolin,... let alone buy it at that? Do you follow these guys continuously or ocassionally take a peak to see what they are upto? Im from australia and i guarantee you they shut it down here when ever they come, same goes for Europe. In your opinion tell me who's doing it better.

Well Primo has been doing it longer than RZA, or AS long....and is doing it more consistently. And don't get it wrong man I have love for RZA....he's probably one of my top five favorite people of all time....the dude is a genius....No one can ever surpass what he's done because he's on his own level there's not a way to compare him...even when he said he passed the torch to Kanye, that's not true Kanye is Kanye, to me RZA did more than Kanye ever did yet Yeezy gets more credit because he's all in the media. And yeah dude its much different in America....in America yeah Wu-Tang fell off....hey did you hear what happened to that dude in Northstar with his dick? You can't make that shit up...Hahaha
