It depends on the CPU tier. Intel wins for their i5s and i7s (Big-Little monolithic x86 SoCs), while AMD wins for their Ryzen 9s (multicore efficency with chiplets and traditional x86 for the highest core count possible). I own an Alder Lake i7-12700K and it can keep up with a Zen 4 Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7.

They don't actually win on efficiency it's too close, they do on raw multi core perf, but at a price. At the moment the 7700x is a beast gaming cpu, otherwise it mostly a platform for future upgrades,which is still a big win for amd

i have 5800x and i am really starting to think to move on to i5 13600k, reason is adobe after effects.. Should I do that or stay in the team red with 7700x?

Well the 5800x is no slouch, I would weigh the expense against the benefits for your business, in my POV if you can keep up with your work I would wait for the next gen of both Intel and amd and choose then. Btw would be cheaper to get a 5950x on sale then replacing a full system

It's different cuz you calculate the price for a whole system rather than just swapping one part.

I'm a AMD 7600x owner, amd fan but intel wit 13 gen is the best

Yup... Too bad they're stuck on 2 generation platforms. Next CPU will probably have a new socket 😔
