I forgot this game even existed. Its cool Hyabusa has a Lil comp now but this just showed what a monster character ryu can be. Tea! Ninja should keep adding to their deadly character roster and do a cross over with Netherelm studios

Why would you want to taint Ninja Gaiden like that? It doesn't deserve that desecration.

The ending of that very first fight is a great representation of the fate of the studio behind it: exploding into bloody chunks after the critical and commercial strike against it landed.

In all seriousness Yaiba really is a threat to Ryu as he managed to push him into using brutal and powerful techniques using not only the dragon but also an Izuna drop that was probably 20 to 30 stories high. Yaiba almost manages to cut Ryu in half but always teleports away. What's even more terrifying is Yaiba never using ninpo only going by pure instinct fighting like a mad dog never letting his opponent getting any rest. The reason why Ryu won the first battle was because Yaiba was way overconfident man Yaiba is quite terrifying.

I mean the only reason he has a chance against Ryu is simply Bc the game is about him. Ryu is the enemy so Ryu has to kinda lose..

It is still referenced in many team ninja games, even in the recent Rise of the Ronin game, Ryu’s outfit and ninja sword is in the game alongside his sword style

You have no idea how much it pained me to fight Ryu, one of my favorite characters in all of video game history. I can't tell you the almost of times I game over'd just because I didn't have the heart to attack Best Ninja Boy.

Brah what a fight ryu didn't even want to hurt him He teaches yaiba only a lesson could wipe him out in a split second from existence when he want because of the plot hole they made the fight a little bit serious but everyone who played it could see ryu was toying him whole time

not really since yaiba is an extremely powerful ninja, plus he got a lot more powerful because of his cybernetic enhancements. besides, if u play on the hardest setting, ryu WILL end u in 2-3 hits hahaha (1 hit if its an izuna drop or a gleaming blade)

Yaiba and Genshin have the same skill, and Ryu did have difficulty beating Genshin so I see why Ryu couldnt have ended Yaiba easily. Tho in the dead or alive games, its safe to say that they did underplay Ryu's abilities.

The game itself wasn't very good, but I like the character of Yaiba himself. Not too many antagonists in the Ninja Gaiden series that can fight equally, let alone hurt, Ryu Hayabusa. 🤔 I feel the same about Ninja Gaiden 3 and the Regent of the Mask. 🤗

Yea i don't like how they went off the rails and gave it zombies. The beginning cutscene tho made it so hype. Its kinda disappointing. If it was just about the rivalry between Ryu and Yaiba then this game would've been so much better.

design wise yeah the game sucked. I'm glad I never touched this game. As difficult as ninja Gaiden black was I loved the OG series including Sigma to Razors edge. I just hope there'll be a Ninja Gaiden 4.

A great concept idea wise with having Ryu in the game....but.....it WASN'T utilized fully. Yeah great moments and small touches that are awesome when the fights happen but still... And I"m still kinda surprised Ryu wasn't unlockable in this.

Best character, best fighter and best ninja it's Ryu Hayabusa.

The biggest impression of this game was that... This WICKED hack and slash game has no jump button. You could do combos like the previous games but the special ones require 3-6 button inputs and some even replacing airborne attacks (BY EXECUTING IN THE GROUND) You can't juggle, the dodging is weird and not as fluid, the camera seems worse, and is just repetitive overall. I just love the comedy and artstyle tho!

Bad game, but i like Yaiba Ninja cyborgs are cool

i thought it was okay but they nerfed? Ryu in here. Probably to protect the research or something? but he didnt feel like Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 Ryu not even Razors Edge Ryu who even under a curse which claims his live because he killed so many people still went out and did what he needed to do. Yaiba is powerful but Ryu meanwhile dealt with more powerful enemys in the mean time and we know Ryu never slacks off. It's kind of weird that he NEEDED the eye of the Dragon just to finish the battle.

@@alexvez I think NG3 had done it's damage already. NG 1 & 2 were straight great. NG:RE just made it alright and I doubt many cared to buy it again after playing vanilla NG3. It was also just inferior to NG2/Sigma. Yaiba doesn't get a pass,but that ship was already sinking.

Because it's unstable like for example why is there elements system on every enemy it's doesn't means no good,the dash is to fast enemy is to hard to be killed trust me I already tried,1 super enemy just like dealing 1,boss to hard to be killed the combo sucks the ninja trying to be badass but his not,this ninja is a fucking joke doesn't has super move like Ryu hayabusa can summon dragon to clear the enemy and this only can do rage?damn it's useless,your health points is just like a paper if you want hp you need to kill super enemy? Damn just imagine if you fighting super enemy without minion it's useless,gameplay sucks ass only thing that's good about this game is only artstyle and story nothing else😔

After that, yaiba goes to get a new heart, he gives up on his revenge for Hayabusa. he learns that the guy he was working for is getting ready to resurrect a ancient god and destroy everything/live forever. Yaiba finds him and where he was hiding, said boss fuses with the god he brought back and then Yaiba fights him and saves the universe...

Ninja Gaiden 3 really did kill this series. Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge exhumed the series rotting corpse, and Yaiba turned this series into a reanimated shambling corpse. Yaiba wasn't even a Ninja Gaiden game. It was just Keiji Inafune somehow being allowed to make another crappy game, yet astoundingly using the Ninja Gaiden name to drag thru the dirt. Fuck this game😂😆🤣
