Of all the final boss in RGG, including Kenzan. Takechi probably the only one that stand out. Unlike other, who fought you with all their might and you can actually see it in their eyes, this guy: before(0:47), during(4:06) and after(9:07), he fight with such a cool manner and even his face still remain calm. I'd say he is the best boss in the series consider how he leading you right from the start, surprise you during the battle, challenge you into a sword x sword fight and what's more? He didn't even flinch when he face our Kiryu or being overpowered by him during the entire battle.

And i was about to comment something like "Now THIS is a fight to the death between samurai" seeing how you've run out of healing item... Until you pull out your pistol. ⊙︿⊙

To be honest, I think it's fine that you use health items and resort to finishing him off with your gun. This fight is really, really tough. Plus, dodge speed is so minimal and damage from him so high that missing a dodge is like half your healing items down the drain. It'd be more fun to watch without having to see all the restarts anyway, do what you need to do to make it look good and all :)

@@kiryukazuma1269 Maybe likeness contracts but I’m pretty sure they could’ve got him again, they’re doing a stream in chronological order and they got Baba’s actor on the stream, who also was Heisuke Todo in the original. Sega of America said that the Dojima lieutenants were popular in the west when RGG was working on Ishin Kiwami so that plays a part too.

@@kiryukazuma1269 he's original in terms of character, but he was also originally modeled after his actor, Katsunori Takahashi. The licensing issues come in recontracting his actor for the re-use of his likeness in Ishin Kiwami, thus they went with recasting. Keep in mind this probably both happened from two big factors: 1. Influence from the west to invoke fanservice type shit 2. They're remaking the game, not remastering it like the Remastered Collection. I don't know the legal details behind that, but it allowed them to reuse actor faces without the same case of recontracting anyways...

Lol, this boss battle was hard as balls in hard mode (my first walkthrough btw) and with three bones and a single health item. I was so certain I had to restart everything but on my +30 attempt I won him by chance. Greatest final boss fight in RGG/Yakuza series.

The second phase theme is one of my favorite themes in the entire series good god that song is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes

Takechi is such a complex villain and a bro to Ryoma. I don't get what were they thinking with replacing him with Sibusawa, who was meh.

@@joemamma6344 I don't know, the fact that he had an original face and not another Yakuza character, helped to cement him as a memorable character and villain. Taking this away by replacing him with Shibusawa kind of takes away this. He's more likely to be refered as Shibusawa 2.0 since that's the face he was known as. Truthfully, like Codfish said, Modders will find a way to replace the model, so it's not a huge issue for PC players at least.

It's crazy right? The cinematic lighting here is perfect for the setting of this story too, since it's more like a historical movie than something that needs to be real. Even within Unreal's limitations, they really shouldn't have gone for realistic lighting. It makes the world of Ishin look a lot less appealing than the beautiful looking cinematic shades they originally had.

What crack are you smoking, this looks dated as hell. I've never seen people bitch about lighting being too realistic L M A O cinemaphiles are brain damaged. It's way more likely it's a limitation of the PS4 or old dragon engine

@@Y00bi The fact that they bring back 0's actors during the RGG Summit, put a big emphasis that their characters are most likely the most important within this story, and since Shibusawa was the final boss of 0, I guess people come to the conclusion he will be the final one of this game as well. That's my guess on this.

Daaaaamn,such intense fight.Especially the last phase. And the battle itself is interestingly similar to RGG0 final boss.Soundtrack changes,location changes and even boss change his style.

Same thing happened to me in Yakuza kiwami 2. I bodied Ryuji with minimal effort. Lol, the one thing I'd change in this series is the enemy scaling. Make it so they scale reasonably whenever you level up

@@reapeashooter2 Finished Judgment several weeks ago in Legend, The Mole's pretty okay(in terms of difficulty) for a boss fight, I find Mine harder honestly and I didn't need to cheese the fight like JIngu.

You know? Hard to believe that is game is over 8 years old

I just beat Ishin, it was amazing! But I was so overpowered, the sword you get after doing all the substories does crap loads of damage and I had armor which makes your opponent take damage when he hits you, I made every boss a joke including this one sadly, the one major flaw this game has is how OP you can be, It's ridiculous!

Hmm, maybe the reason Heat moves do barely any damage in this game is because of the fact that damage scales upward with your combo, and you're supposed to do a Heat move only to finish off a combo ?

I wonder what they were smoking when they decided these crazy heat moves and sword slashes should only do like 2% damage each. Kinda makes it look a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Is there any chance that you've done or planning to do a walkthrough of Kenzan or Ishin? Since none of those is ever getting translated and though I've finished both I'd really like to dick around in Ishin, the problem is that I don't know japanese.

Fucking hell, Takechi was one hell of a final boss, for me he is BY FAR the hardest non Amon boss to face, he is the only non Amon boss that I gave up trying to do without HP pots, his second form is actual insanity.

After this I really hope Sega would make a new Yakuza spinoff based on Three Kingdoms. It would be dope af

First phase fight sounds like Shibusawa theme, second phase fight sounds like Kuze theme, third phase a bit like Awano theme. Yakuza 0 boss music must be come from here.

From what I remember, it's much larger than the canon Yakuza games, and it's already maxed out the moment you begin the game. I just counted the inventory space, it holds up to 40 items.

That's weird. I've been playing the game for the past few days and although the inventory does seem larger than the others games, I'm pretty sure it's not nearly as large as it is in this video....weird. Maybe it can be upgraded using the darma points?

Nigredo Kukai Hmm.. it could be that, then. It's been a while since i've played Ishin and I could have easily forgotten , so I apologize. But now that you mention it, I think it's those darma points, yeah.

I defeated most bosses in this game using the Gun style, only 2 or 3 of them were more or less immune to it. My advice is spam Gun style as often as possible.

That boss battle is much more epic than any boss battle in Metal Gear Rising. Damn, this battle is much more epic than any boss battle. The ony battle that is more cool than that, is Shibusawa from Zero. That is one of the many reasons why I love this games. But looks like Takechi was insanly hard even of normal difficulty. Thanks for the videos. And yeah, now we wait Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan videos :)

(finishes him off with a gun anyway) I know that this guy is tough, considering that he's the final boss... but it kinda ruins the immersion and moment imo. Is this supposed to be a self-imposed challenge, where you don't craft stronger weapons? I know that this game buff the weapons WAY too much, making all fights a piece of cake, but come on; where's your honor, using a gun in a sword fight lol But... I guess this might be the point; the age of the swordmanship is over, the era of gunpowder begins. New tech triumphing over older tech. Which is exactly what happened in Japan during those times. Nevertheless, it's been one helluva ride. Thanks for the videos :)

Some Like it Stranger And i was getting my hope up when he already used up all of his healing item and decide to fight to the death like a samurai with Takechi too. ^^

Dan Hyang It's Leon's choice, I guess. I could just buy the game myself and play it the way I wanted to, but I don't understand Japanese. And I'm too lazy to keep looking at my laptop for walkthroughs lol

Some Like it Stranger Not really, I thought my sword's damage was good enough. And come on, I only used the gun at the last bit, is it that bad? xD

I have no idea what this guy's story is, but damn this fight is still cool.

I love your channel, but the only thing i don't like about it is how you use too many healing items and sometimes cheap shots uwu (like gunslinger style here and when you only use red and yellow auras on kiwami) Pls don't hate me, it's just that i enjoy the high level fights like the one you had with shibusawa.
