As someone who flies Ryanair frequently and even though the video doesn't show it, it was quite a hard landing. Usually when I fly their max the landings are smooth but this was quite unexpected

He applies the flair to late making the gear almost slam into the run way ,so he didn’t brake his decent early enough so you can see it never slows which makes a hard landing

"Firm" landing maybe, but far from hard. Contrary to popular belief, pilots like to land as quickly as possible and not float over the runway in an effort to make the landing soft. Runway behind you is no use in an emergency.

It was hard enough for every passenger to notice

11:54 theres b an q😂 . To be honest I've had worse at night in torrential wind and rain where it was ground sky ground sky ground sky wallop!! And borderline whiplash and bitten tongue!

Not that bad! Sometimes better to slam dunk than end up in a float and land long / risk a go around.

I don't understand the whole Ryanair hard landing "jokes". It's Boeing SOP to get it down onto the runway TDZ to prevent the possibility of a runway excursion.

@@notleks2411 Exactly! I know which id prefer. Im told 737 pilots end up caring less about hard landings than landing long. They're tough planes and can take it. Ryanair also has very good training facilities in the UK (Im told...) , so its not about 'cr@p' pilots. (No, i don't work for Ryanair!)
